You'll be ok lady....we women are naturally a lot better at coping....just plod on through till you get the study and exams out of the way and then sit and have a good hard think about what you want and whats right for you. Give yourself a few home truths and a big kick up the backside, put a smile on your face and go out and grab what life has to offer. It's all too easy to get bogged down in over analysis....it will fry your brain. I've found the older I get and the more I do or go through, the less I understand. Don't get stuck doing something because it's safe or easy. Challenge yourself, let it go...and the world will open up to you in a way you never thought possible smile

Yeah, I used to feel that way before exams and finishing up end of term projects. You just kind of run out steam...

If you can take little breaks and then refocus, that might help....

Personally, I never found the last minute revision worthwhile - all it ends up making you do is worry about what you have/haven't read, and then you end up getting no sleep (which is bad).

My bijou bit of advice - go out and enjoy yourself tonight. I don't mean get drunk or anything but do something fun; go to the cinema or something. That will have a far more beneficial effect because it relaxes you and it also encourages certain natural endorphs to circulate around your brain which, in turn, stimulate your memory.

Believe me, it works!

Good luck tomorrow hun!

Re: allergies

Yeah, I can usually get a reasonable amount of sleep, thanks to nasal sprays. Otherwise I get a stuffy nose and basically can't breathe. I guess sleep apnea is a little bit like that.

Where in the US have you been?

I'm ok(ish) at basic mechanics...and I too am intrigued by the concept of a "trojan woman"....
vortigern:
well.. I was better at mechanics than statistics (assuming you mean maths style mechanics?) .. all those balls on frictionless slopes getting pulled around.. great fun.
Theatre studies... no

Well done on the weight loss and thanks for the compliment on the bag. It's dead easy - 1 ball Rowan Biggy Print pair of size 9's i think and then knit a rectangle in st st. Block and press, yawn. Save a yard of the wool sew the rectangle into a bag with some other colour-matched wool (I'm a cheapskate)and use the remaining yard to make a handle.

The fastening was the tricky bit - I attached a toggle to the body and then a black elastic bungee cord to the inner of the top flap.

Off you go.... biggrin

strawberry laces are my weakness! You can buy 3 packets for 1 in Tesco! and apple ones too... mmmmmm!

babe - ask the NUS or the Uni if they have a councilling service

that helped me through some rough times (the break up of my marriage, the death of my father etc.)

it helps to pour things out to a stranger and speaking about things helps you realise what is causing the pain and how to stop it

mundane?
When i skate or play hockey it's usually for a long time. After tiring myself out i lay flat on the pavement for a minute, then i sit up, look around and feel really relaxed. I run my hand over the pavement and get this nostalgic feeling of when i started playing for teams as an early teen. it's been too long since i've played and I need to save to replace my old skates. but sometimes i'll just be walking or running and i'll stop to run my hand over the contours of the ground and daydream about those fun times.

crazy?
I always have the most random metaphores and analogies you will ever hear. but yeah i'd have to admit i'm pretty risk adverse. except that one time we tried to highjack a 20 ton dumptruck in the middle of the night.

i like the bubbles.
