Did a whole lot of nothing today... it was great. Cooked fried rice for dinner. It was good but needed some kind of meat: chicken, beef, shrip, etc. There's absolutely nothing on tv at all. Watched Road to Perdition tonight finally. Great movie, although a little too sad.

for me, it was one of the joys of the military. and still it, since i don't have to actually work with those nimrods anymore.
can feel the loss of your dog though... i couldn't leave my cats back with family, too hard. i'd miss them so much, i imagine that must be really hard to deal with on top of everything else.
strongly urge you taking any of the german courses available where you are. i got ultra cheap classes thru the edcenter here with a older german woman, and it's been a great help when out & about. i'm by no means fluent, but between my german & their english, things run pretty smooth lol. plus, it keeps one busy
