i love the rain so much, but today, even the deary hard rain could cheer me up. this last half of the semester is killing my motivation. i had two tests today that i think went decently well. i think i'd probably be irritated at one of them if i wasn't so tired. im giving my first ever presentation on my research this thursday, so...

I came back to the des moines area this weekend for some veisha celebrations (an annual festeval at iowa state university that celebrates all the acedemic and social diversity of the university), but i did end up even going. instead i partied down with my room mates for the summer that are both des moines natives. it was an interesting time, although i suggest not...

i wanted to go, but i had to work.
also: the ipa is just a bunch of like-minded liberals getting together to try and get shit done around the state, i.e. getting grassley and other republicans out of office, making changes to state social sevices, and with the 2004 election - helping out the kerry campaign.

i like being a member of a group here on the site. i think people are much nicer on specific group boards and are much more interested in getting to know people in that group since its a much smaller portion of sg members and they are more likely to have something in common. and i would guess people are nicer in smaller comunities with...

Word! I was digging on your Winged Migration thread. As a member of the film group, I had hoped that the members would be more insiteful and speak about more interesting, perhaps non-Hollywood, films. But I guess it is par for the course to hear lots of "LOTR ruled!", "No, it sucked!" bs. As long as there sre members like you who can introduce interesting films and perhaps elaborate with a modicom of insight, it will be worth it to continue to participate.

hey, we're in to a lot of the same stuff, and you have super-hot half naked pictures of yourself posted, if you lived nearby, we could go see cheap movies together.
i've had more interesting jobs than my current one but at least it gets me in a morgue, which is close to where i want to be. and it does make for interesting dinner conversation.

i put up new pictures of myself. i really like a couple of them. there's sort of a funny story behind it all... so i was bored and getting painted on as well as painting on a boy friend of mine some saturday evening. and you see, i never close my blinds because i have a bunch of plants that would miss the several hours...

so, i posted a thing about keepers becasue i think they are awesome and i cant believe that most people dont know about them. I was completely taken a back that so many people had something to say about it. apparently, for some people the mention of women blood just gives them the creeps (perhaps in the same the way it did when they were...

its really nice when you post something that is really important to you, not every one will be a jerk about it. i think there are a lot of things in the world that need changing and although women's blood products are not the most important on the list, its just one of the things i know about and want to share for the benefit...

Nice pictures on anitshift.net I like your choice of where you frame your shots, B&W shots are a personal fave. Welcome to the site.
Bjork is one of my favorite artists. She's just so different and I really respect her and the music she makes. I had watched MTV2's Most Controversial Videos the other night, and her video Pagan Poetry was one of the 5 "bonus" videos not actually included on the countdown... it was pretty f-in amazing. She never fails to surprise me though. Anyway, I chose the picture because (a) yep I like Bjork and (b) the harshness of that piercing but it's beauty at the same time is just awesome. It's hot stuff no matter what, but it's just a bonus that it's Bjork and there's meaning behind it. Just figured I'd come by and yak about it.
