Lousy pickup line aside, I feel like they'd have had better chances and been more respectful i.e. not insulting your intelligence, had they simply said: "Hi. I wanted to come over and let you know what a fantastic collection of photos you've made. I especially liked the (X, Y, Z) elements. May I buy you a (coffee, cocktail, beer, wine)? I'd love to get to know you better outside that.
