In my class this semester I learned alittle about loss and grieving. It sounds like you feel a loss but also fell like you shouldnt feel it ya know? I mean like you arent allowed to feel pain about it. So it gets buried inside and you deal with it when it pops up and you feel guilty about even feeling hurt when your think you dont have the right.

Yeah your friend went away and your life changed. You didnt have to go to jail so who cares about what you lost right? Though what you lost wasnt maybe as obvious or as bad you did lose something too.

I guess I think you should try and make peace with the feelings of loss and try and heal. I also think it can be a learning experience. The person you were five years ago is probably much different than you are today. What if the same situation happened today? Do you think you'd be still feeling it so hard five years from now? How would you handle it now or how would you change the way you dealt with it?

I really shouldnt write comments so late at night I am way to philisophical.

and don't worry, i'm not sad. i just feel llike having a really good time. and i never drink when i'm sad anymore. i learned my lesson about that a few months ago. never again. it's such an awful feeling, like when you "need" a drink. blech. i hated it. so now i go for walks instead. thank you though!

Thanx for dropping by and commenting on my post, I felt the need to slam Dubya without making it another slam on poor Adrienne too. I feel partially responsible since Georgie boy claims my state as his home (even though he's not really from here, the lyin' sack o' shit), but I also feel more righteous in my anger towards him since he fucked up my home before he went and fucked up the whole country (or is that the whole world?).

Anyway, thanx. Oh, and you seem to have great taste in many areas...I see great bands listed, great movies (including Bubba Ho Tep, which was soooooo good), cool artists (although after reading Black Dahlia Avenger I can't look at Man Ray's stuff in the same light anymore) and you appreciated my post, so that right there says you must have great taste ...............

Bubba Ho Tep and Lost in Translation are my two current fave movies. Good taste you got.
