Woooo-eee. While I've been concentrating on being stoked on sports, Dean was third in Iowa. And I'm STILL waiting to hear about that job, which means I still sit here thinking about how little I want to go in to work tonight. How long do you think I'll deal with this before I stab someone in the eye with a chopstick when I have to...

oh yeha! white ink! Um whites great for mixing.. but it doenst hold up by itself.. it turns kinda splotchy and faded. A big problem with most colors.. is that colored in is primarily liquid and water based. while black ink is liquid.. but its gritty almost. So when it dries, its more of a solid color under your skin . (or at least from what I understand) Now because the pigment dries like that, it doesnt spread nearly as much. I mean all color will spred, but some colors are more fluid and will kinda just keep spreading out. Since the black is kinda solid.. it works as a barrier and holds color in. Now.. Granted I dont know this for sure.. its just kinda what a lot of other tattooists believe.. and Since I personally have tattoos in color outline and they arent even a year old nd kinda blurred a tiny bit... I feel like theres some soliditity in the theory.. smile Yeah.. but white.. if it blurs a little it will be hard to read and may be splotchy.. if it were a simple design.. i would say go for it.. because if a design isnt perfect no one would know ya know? But yeah.. I wouldnt color anything white unless it was outlined.. or if you didnt mind that it would most likely fade, get splotchy or become discolored. Some whites turn a pale greenish.

Yeah, I saw the replay...liked that much more that the Hejduk penalty shot goal I saw live. smile (Speaking of which, I should be mailing the prgram tomorrow). At least we won without Ignila, somehow. What's up with the Ducks?

Well, in fairness, i wouldn't blame the polls; Dean seemd a little rattled, and clearly people were picking up on something. I have to admit that this Lazurus routine does mean I have to reconsider Kerry's virtues; whatever the hell he and Edwards were doing last week, the Dems need to bottle it and sell it to all their candidates.

This really hurts Clark, of course. frown
scooter11:
Yeah, as I tried to say in the election group post it's not that I don't like Kerry--he does have a good record. (And the patriot act vote doesn't bother me much; given that it was going to pass the Senate no matter what, voting against it owuld have been a pointless sacrifice. What he does as Senator, in that particular case, doesn't suggest what he would do as president, where he would control the foreign policy agenda.)
To the extent I'm not crazy about Kerry, it's coldly strategic; I see Clark as having Kerry's virtues, without his regional or personal baggage. His success in Iowa gives me pause, of course.

I hate people who whine at me for not having made time in my short four days home for them, even though before I left to go home they made no effort to find out when I would be there or call me while I was there.

that's it for negativity today, I promise!

instead, I'm going with good things:

Dude, it's both really, really cool, and really, really lame that places are selling out of the books. We should hear back from Paramount in a week or two! Keep your fingers crossed. smile

The distinguishing sign of slavery is to have a price, and to be bought for it.

Is what you do enslaving you or would you do it even if you didn't get paid?

edit: keep your fingers crossed for me. I may have a lead on something better than this shit.

Fishing with John is utterly hilarious.

I'm going to come up with a Top Ten Albums and Top Ten Movies of 2003 list for you kids later today. Right now, though, you should all add Fishing with John to your Netflix queue, especially if you're fans of Tom Waits, Jim Jarmusch, Willem Dafoe, Matt Dillon, Dennis Hopper, or naturally John Lurie.

Just trust me on...

Oh my. Go ahead, offend people in the armed forces! They deserve it! They're signing their life away to be some political big wig's pawn, when all they've got on their mind is more money for themselves and their friends and screw anyone else. Bah!

Oh my. What am I doing? Spewing about politics on a porn site. Silly me.

Tell Bush why the way this country is being run right now really sucks.

If you can't think of anything, you could just add in that you know this girl who's a wonderful, talented writer and graduated with honors from university who can't find a decent job waiting tables, let alone doing what she got $100,000 in debt to learn how to do. wink

Hi.

Happy New Year.

I thought mine was going well. Then my work decided to ruin my mood.

I need to get out of the service industry now. NOW. I didn't go to college and work my ass off for years to be expendable slave labor and have my job threatened over stupid mistakes.

I'm sorry I haven't been around. I've been moving and working...

Yeah, I think that's right, or as right as it can be given oue fundamental honest disagreement on 2000. wink I do have one quibble, which is that (as Dean shows) Gore was too easy on Bush, not too hard. Admittedly, while I've never really cared for him, Gore was in a tough position because the media held him in contempt and would have savaged him even more had he really gone after Bush. But when you see him speak now--he's a different (and far better) man--he was getting really bad advice. Whether he wins or loses, the best thing about Dean is that he's telling the appeasers at the DLC to cram it with walnuts, and he's not shy about saying exactly what the GOP stands for. Good. Lieberman isn't hurting Dean, and he's destroying his own credibility, thank God. Kerry is a much sadder story, but his campaign is right out of the Gore 2000 playbook: tell the media what it wants to hear at a given time without figuring out that they can't be appeased. Fuck that.

My far-too-short Christmas trip home is over already. I want to cry. I want to be at home still.

I don't have too many friends left there, and the ones that were there also live other places, but it was nice to see everyone and spend time with my family.

I went Christmas shopping with Ryan, who I hadn't seen in almost two years, on...
