I love Alex Tanguay.

I hate Wayne Gretsky.

I love Howard Dean.

I hate John Kerry.

Go see Miracle. If it doesn't make you cry and cheer, you've got no heart. One of the little girls actually did cheer like she was at a real hockey game. These kids still make me smile.

So on 60 Minutes tonight, which I missed, apparently they had the experts supposedly consulted about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Who all say that Bush is...

I knew today was going to shit on my good mood.

Fuck Kerry. Why are all of you people going to vote for someone who VOTED FOR THE PATRIOT ACT?

At least Lieberman finally took the fucking hint.

And I think I'm falling for my coworker. Who has a girlfriend. Naturally. That's my fucking luck. But he's actually really really interesting to talk to. And...

I'm with you on Kerry. I just keep repeating to myself, "he's better than Bush, he's better than Bush..." When that doesn't work, I start repeating, "Clinton v. Rice in '08, Clinton v. Rice in '08..."

I *want* to believe that Dean still has a chance. If the NoVA office ever gets back to me, I'll help them phonebank for next Tuesday this weekend. But... alright, I won't jinx it.

One thing I certainly will concede about the gender divide is that I can't fully appreciate the pressure that women so often seem to get about being single. I mean, for guys, we can be made to feel a bit embarassed about it, but it's not as if it's supposed to strike us at the core of our being. You sound like you've got a perfectly healthy attitude towards it, though. Ya can't help having fewer options when your standards are higher, unfortunately - but surely there will come that point where the stars will align and the non-intimidated, sports-savvy hunk walks up and says hi.

Yes, I did see that you'd replied in that thread. In case you were wondering.

Did I say I hate kids?

I take it back. These two little girls that I worked with tonight on a review for the movie Miracle told me (without prompting, I promise!) that they want Bush OUT! And they promised me to vote as soon as they turn 18. Watch out, Bush. With little girls like that out there, you're in deep shit. You will...

Amen Stina. I am no feminist but neither am I a patriarch. I have found that you can learn a lot if you just shut up and listen once in awhile. Of course most boys never grow into men and never learn that women have a valid opinion too. To be honest, I trust my wife's opinion over my own about 60% of the time. Go figure...I married her for a reason right? I wouldn't have married a dumbass.

Side note: Any man who claims to be a feminist is full of shit. Actions speak louder than self proclaimed labels. A real feminist male is one who shows respect without having to publicly label himself. People will just know by his actions.
galvagin:
Just came here to extend a sympathetic sigh to a fellow Dean supporter. The math *does* still give him an outside chance...

But on my way to make this comment, I noticed some others in your journal. I'm not sure if it makes me less or more of a feminist, but my fiancee's an ex-lobbyist - if I tried to silence her in conversation... well, I think they'd need dental records to identify my body.

Punx for Dean fucking rock it. Don't hold your nose and vote, people.

Oh, and by the way:

Tom Brady is sex on a stick.

2 super bowls in 2 years.

I don't actually know the specific comment, and knowing Wes it was put in an impolitic way, but I would defend the general sentiment by saying I'm not a protectionist. The problem under Bush isn't that any specific jobs are being lost--which is inevitable, and not necessarily a bad thing overall--but the loss in net jobs becuase not enough new jobs are being created, and not enough resources are avilable for people who lose their jobs.

Groundhog Day: I woke up this morning to the alarm going off via the radio and a newscaster announcing that, that damn groundhog came out, took one look around and went back under. That means another 6 weeks of Winter damnit!! I hate cold. Can't complain too much being in FL though. My question though, is do they shock the poor little guy every year this day to make him come out in the first place?? Terrible thought. Hummmm...

Aoife is still pissed off.

Why today, you ask?

Well, because my so-called friend thinks it's funny to one minute tell me that his friend and I would never get along, that I shouldn't like him, and the next minute give me the little dig in the ribs and say "Hey...I hung out with Jason all day." what the fuck, dude. if I should get...

Today, Aoife is pissed off.

Why?

Well, this, for a start. Brought to my attention by my favorite political science genius, scooter11, that right there makes me fucking mad. Really fucking mad.

I'm also mad at people who talk a big game and don't follow through. You know who you are. This could be anything from talking about giving me a job to talking...

i wasn't able to follow the link because there is something wrong with this computer i'm on, but i am wondering if it might be referring to CBS refusing to air the TheMoveOn.com commercial during the superbowl. if, that wasn't it, then there's something to piss you off even worse. check out themoveon.com and there is some info on there about petitioning and whatnot if you are interested.

i love that episode with tom waits!! remember when he gets sea sick and they have to take him back and start again the next day. muahaha!

you know i made that for you before the cruiser crawl?

Fuckingpieceofshitsheeppeople.

Kerry's alright, but Dean is way cooler.
I think I need to go to New Mexico on Saturday. Who's with me? Punx for Dean show?

At least he took second, and 9 delegates. Ain't too shabby.

In other news, which is a little overshadowed by the election (understandably!), Sofia Coppola was nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Lost In Translation....

Red lipstick + chrome-silver nails + gun-shaped earrings=free drinks.

gotta remember that.

I just saw a commercial on MTV for a compilation CD of "today's hardest rockin' hits." It included such gems as the Dave Matthews Band and Creed.

My cat rocks harder than Dave Matthews. Really. He sings better, too. Just ask Eponine.

Apparently, going with me to see strippers is not such...

So how are the strip clubs in Denver?

Thanks for writing me...it's been a while. Maybe my pro-Kings, anti-Avs stance pushed you away. I am seeing the K/A game on Thurs. If only you were in LA...I have season tix and no one can go on Monday.Fly out!

Anyway, good info on your answers. I am one that really gets caught up in his own shit that I like to know what the world is thinking. Well, my lil SG world really. I just kinda realized after seeing that movie that when Crane died...he basically had to create his own hardcore porn.....if he lived today, he just had to type in www.thehun.com and....free porn. It's so simple.( BTW this is not an advertisement for that site...just saying you have to walk 5 feet from your bedroom to computer and literally anything is withing a few clicks. )

So....did you happen to see the Kip Brennan/Jim Cummins battles last time the 2 teams met? Kip really kicked his ass! eeek

I'd like to tell all of you how stupid it is to decide someone is unelectable because he gets pumped up about things and doesn't keep his voice perfectly modulated.

Fuck, we can't win. Gore (whom I hate anyway) was "boring." Now Dean is "too angry." Bullshit. I'm angry, too. I want someone who's as angry as I am. I don't want anger reserved for...

I'd make a great wife. I'd even serve you beer and nachos during the Super Bowl. Also you can learn the joys of staying home on Saturday nights to watch Hockey Night in Canada on the CBC. wink

If Joan Jett still supports Howard Dean, who am I to question? wink

I think it's funny that there's all this media frenzy over a speech where the guy got a bit excited, but Republicans plan on voting for a guy who sniped at his own translator for being more literate than he was.

Ahhhh, politics.

Who's moving to Canada with me when that moron is...
