We still don't know if Arafat is dead. I still think he is and they just won't tell us.
Ashcrack is officially gone. I would throw a party, but I think I'll wait to see who replaces him.

before sunset is still out in theaters out here. i would like to see it but i'm not sure if it's really a "theater-type-movie." ashcroft is a sorry sack but considering that most of the "democrats" congress are wolves in sheep's clothing it's really looking like the next four years is going to be the toughest. i'm not even going to say how sad i am about the election. all i'm going to say is... i'm in australia.

Great post. It's amazing to remember that people like Toni Morrison cautiously supported the Thomas nomination, is if a person of color can't be a drooling reactionary. AT least, the Dems have smarterned up a bit. (You should send something about torturin' Al to the SG newswire...)
Made it back. Back to the Red State par excellence. Tired and lazy today. Back to work tomorrow.
Good news: I got the job (binformed magazine in philly. binformedmag.com in case you care.)
Bad news: it ain't anything close to full-time. I still need a day job, or a sugar daddy. Taking applications.
My mother thinks Barack Obama rules too. And she's a Republican. Good...

Saturday night in PA by myself. As usual, things do not go according to plan.
I will be heading back South tomorrow. I promise, it's only temporary. My apologies if I didn't get to see you and I should have. Hopefully I'll be back soon, for good. I cannot live in a red state one moment longer than necessary.
Looking back on this most...

I'm drowning in a sea of red down here. I can't wait to get myself the hell out. Even the college kids here are mindless Repugs. It's sad, just sad.
How's that army coming?

oh, I'm totally lying about taking some time for myself. I'm just not talking about it here.
check out speakdelinquently.blogspot.com instead for that kind of junk.
I have another job interview. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Read Warren Ellis's Transmetropolitan comics. They are the best thing since Dunkin' Donuts coffee. (which is keeping me from committing seppuku at this moment.)

Glad you appreciate what I had to say. My words have gotten less antagonistic and outright inflammatory since Wednesday morning - all part of the cooling-down process I would imagine. Now I'm better able to confront what the right-wingers say without getting too aggravated. Don't know what I'll do now, though. Any ideas?

Someone related a story in the forums about a woman he knows who witnessed her Kerry vote on a touch-screen machine get redirected to Bush. That got me to thinking that it might be worthwhile to try and track down as many stories like this one as possible. I asked the guy if he could put me in touch with the woman for a personal interview. I hope she agrees.
Face it - Republicans are even more convinced than ever that Bush has fairly won his presidency. And, without a battle from Kerry, there's nothing to point to except vague rumors of fraud. Nothing can be proven because the black box machines have no paper trail. But there's truth to be found.

Oh, it's still fuck you, America.
Honestly, I'm going to take some time for myself right now. I'll be back to the fight soon, I promise. But I need to work on trying to find a job before employment is completely impossible, and moving out from under the thumb of Jim DeMint.
If not, film school in Vancouver is calling me.

In an article today, the Monkey was talking about his popular vote victory as "capital...that he intends on cashing in." And went on to use his--and I'm paraphrasing here--"if you're not with us, you're against us" on his fellow citizens.
On a lighter note, I think I glimpsed Cheney grinding the organ as the Lil' Monkey did his acceptance-speech dance.

Somebody tell me to calm down. I am stressing out so much I think I will literally explode if Bush wins.
I am scared shitless because: the two states it most likely will come down to are Ohio and Florida. And we all know about Florida, and Ohio has those lovely Diebold voting machines that don't give you any proof that your vote was registered...

What does "we all know about Florida" mean? It's more like Palm Beach County.
And yeah, you are way too wound up. You need to learn to meditate or something before you start having health issues from stress and anxiety.

I currently am sick. And in Philly, and I have a job interview tomorrow and am scheduled to be a Kerry volunteer half the day tomorrow and all day on Tuesday. It could be interesting.

I'm in Philly, if anyone cares.
I strongly suggest you go see Lucero when they play in your neighborhood. Buy Ben a Jack & coke and tell him you like the show. Just don't try to outdrink him if you're out of practice. I was hurting the next day...ouch.
Y'all kids better vote on Tuesday. Four more years of this crap...

Thanks--I'll bookmark it.
I don't know if you've read it yet, but I'm projecting Kerry. There's good data on our side, if that's any consolation.

Off to Atlanta tomorrow, interviewing Lucero at the Masquerade on Thursday, then heading to Philly for Kerry-volunteering madness and (hopefully) meeting up with some of you cool kids in the PA/NYC area. I'll definitely be checking in here as well as email, so if you want to see me while I'm around, drop me a line and we'll talk about it.
Until then, go Sox!

So today, while digging through my storage unit, I knocked over my green backpack. And out came my Key to Hell pendant and the hamsa pendant my former friend (and yes, I do mean former as in there is a reason we are not friends anymore) brought me back from Israel.
