Hey, folks. This is my blog following up on my one last night. As I said, I passed my dive course and became a fully certified Open Water diver. We did our course at Porteau Cove, which was a lot like Whytecliff Park in that it was a beach with a lot of tree stumps lying around.

I had to arrive early because I had...

Had a physical today, and have been given a clean bill of health to continue my dive training, which I intend to do this coming weekend.

Now, the way the course has been set up is that there are four ocean dives: two at Whytecliff Park and two at Porteau Cove. I did one already @ Whytecliff and was working through the second when my...

I'll still be at Taboo, I head to Pomona at the very end of January, usually after Taboo, though I'm not sure if I'll be working a booth or going this year, I won't be sure til January rolls around. I'll at least come for a visit to see the SG girls if they have a booth! smile

Had the most AWESOME adventure today; the day I finally did my first open water dives in the ocean! biggrin

Woke up real early (4:30am), but we needed to be at Whytecliff Park by 7am (there was a bike race going on nearby that meant we needed to be there before any traffic problems blocked off the way. Kitted up and headed out into the ocean...

Well, that sure fuckin' lasted, didn't it?

Just got a call from Boston Pizza. It was the manager. She wanted to tell me that she didn't think it was going to work out, so she decided to let me go.

This after I finally started to feel happy for the first time in ages. This after I filled out an application form for Income Assitance...

What the hell!? Any other reason?

It was in the probation period. They can let me go without giving me a reason.

I know my last blog was full of gloom and doom, but it's amazing how much things have changed for me since then.

The biggest, of course, being that the very next day, I got a call from Boston Pizza in Pitt Meadows, saying that they wanted to interview me for a job. And within five minutes, they said that they wanted to hire me....

I'm tired of life fucking me over.

I'm tired of wasting my time trying to find a job.

I'm tired of life giving me what I want with one hand and taking it away with the other.

I'm tired of making any effort at all to try and fix this.

It's always darkest before the dawn! Keep hope stuff does get better!

We've all been in spots where life seems hopeless and frustrating... but sometimes it's those moments that make the good moments so much better.

Hope it gets better for you! smile

Sorry doll

WARNING: Long winded rant ahead. Sorry for it, but I need to vent.

Well, the past couple of days have certainly been filled with suck. Where do I begin?

1). Managed to lose $20 I knew I needed for other things at the casino tables @ the PNE, forcing me to dip into my dwindling reserve to cash to make sure I had food for...

Second week of dive classes over and done with, and I've got to say that I've found these two to be a lot easier. There were a number of things I wasn't too comfortable with (mostly the "giant stride" and "backward roll" entries), but on the whole, I'm beginning to feel a lot more comfortable underwater, and am looking forward to going to Whytecliff Park...
