Want my solution? Listen up...shhhhh...it's a secret!
Wilsarin. Buy it. It's rat and mice poison. The pellets are green, and the mice find them delicious! Unfortunately, they don't realize that the pellets are filled with blood thinners and will kill them shortly. For it to work, you need to put out little places for them to drink water. I used an old plastic lid and filled it with water right beside the poison. No more mice!
Try it. It should work, but make sure you put the poison out every night. You'll notice an improvement in a day, but to make sure you don't create a breed resistant to Wilsarin, you have to kill them all, which may take a week or so.

i would use the traps that actually trap them...so you can take them and release them somewhere not in your house....i find all other ways cruel.....sticky traps are the worst, watching mice that are still alive trying to get free while they slowly rip their arms and legs off.
