Oh cool. I saw that movie when it came out way back in '97, it was an indie release and I had to trek all the way to a Tempe theater around the corner from ASU to catch it. I was so knocked out I watched it twice. Afterward, I raved about it to all of my buds. But no else checked it out.
I recently purchased the DVD and I prize it as one of the trippiest movies in my collection. The guy who wrote and directed it, Darren Aronofsky, also directed the excellent film "Reqiuem for a Dream" which is 100x more F'd up, I recommend it.

"Is everything all right?" The security guard asked as he made his post-midnight rounds. I took a last look at what once had been my place of choice, and told him that everything was indeed "fine." But what I really wanted to do was run to his vehicle, and tell him that everything wasn't fine, that I couldn't get a certain boy out of my...

Is there more to this? I'm hooked.
"The shortest distance between two points is a line" Mr. Zimmerman always said, while this works in mathematics… life is much more complex than derivatives and logarithms …I seem to think that the shortest distance between two points is a foolishly placed circle. The only analogy I can think of to back up my revelation is of a sea turtle it travels far and long...

Adam Ant is a cross between sexual healing and chicken soup for the soul.
"It was like he was preparing for it, in the entire eight years we were together," Terry said as she filled the gin and tonic of a business man.
Terry has it Together. In her red-headed, naturally beautiful state, and in her thirty-seven years, she has certainly figured it out. And as she hands me yet another vodka tonic, I feel comfort in her complacency....

Hi.
At what time exactly should we as humans grow up? I am thinking never... but then again my parents feel as if I am losing sight of my ever lasting goals ... I took a year off after high school I just didn't know how to deal with Vassar alone without my only faithful companion (my dog Toby)... dorms I tell you.. and i mean...

What's the quote: "Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional"? Something to that effect anyways.
Personally, I frown on growing up. When I describe a typical day at my current job (an actual "career"-type job, mind you - just with a very non-traditional corporate culture), my mother is fond of pointing out that I'm permanently arrested at 12 years old.
My reply: "Well YEAH."
Me: University in my hometown, college waaaaaaaaay across the province, and then three jobs since I finally finished school, each in a different town. And it's been pure adventure.
You're gonna do just fine
