1. I keep an small turtle carving in my wallet for good luck.
2. I once had hair that ran down past my waist.
3. I own several pianos, but never learned to read sheet music.
4. I sleep with a blanket over my head to protect me from ghosts and monsters.
5. My dog died in my arms after surgery. It was so painful that I never plan on owning another animal.
6. I really love animals.
7. I teared up watching "Serenity" at the theatre.
8. I teared up watching Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."
9. I have suffered from insomnia my entire life.
10. I tried therapy and failed.
11. It took me six years to graduate from college.
12. Many of my friends are over 60.

"Really," I said. "I have to say you don't look very discouraged."
