Such a lot has happened since the last update.
Rock the Cradle was a success, in my head it was going to be the most massively successful event ever! This didn't happen, and on the night i was a little disappointed. But the bands all loved it and said they would work with me again, most of the people that turned up have since asked me when i will be doing another one, and the Venue management have asked me if i will organise one a month. So i guess that proves that it was a success, even if we only raised 200 quid in the end after costs.
Then there was Download, which was awesome, first festival i haven't gone in a group, it was just me and the gf. I actually found that we got around to seeing more bands than i would usually. It was a shame i missed the mini sguk meet as i was in the area, obviously just slightly the wrong time. I'm now eagerly anticipating the other festivals that im going to this summer.
Finding work is now a double egded sword. I've only got a week left of the college course, i've got some leads on finding work in that area of trade, but i also might have the oppertunity of going full time at my part-time job, something i have done for years, and the extra cash would be useful for booking up more courses, and thus increasing my chances of finding electrical work. It really is a difficult one to call, not only that, but only working part-time at the moment means i can watch nearly all of the world cup
And the World Cup...........the World Cup. Why? why? why? ever world cup the media, nay sayers, unbelievers, they make the England team out to be heros one minute and villians the next. THIS IS ENGLAND, we will always believe that they will win, they will always give us some dodgey performances, if they can leave it till the last minute to reward us they will, and if they do disappoint there will always be a controversial reason as to why we didn't perform the way the whole nation hoped. This is what being an England supporter is all about, so keep the faith, build those boys up and cheer them one, don't jump on the band wagon of knocking them down for performing the way they always have THIS IS ENGLAND.
Ok i'll get down off my soap box now
