2. That definition of working poor is not exactly accurate. Or, at least, it doesn't take into account all factors. If it did, I know some people making $75,000 per year who could be termed "working poor" simply because they piss away what they earn on stupid shit, or shit they cannot afford. Nothing like being in debt up to you bald spot.

Obviously that doesn't apply in your case, and possibly not even in theirs. But, having been 'working poor' for about 10 years, I can state with all honesty that if you discipline yourself to buy only what you /NEED/ as opposed to what you /WANT/, you can save a fucking shitload of money.

Again, not lecturing YOU, just saying, in general. I lived for a few hair-raising years in the same boat. The water pump on my car went out and it was, quite nearly, time to call up the folks and beg. At least I had that safety net.
