I'm very saddened to hear this Tierney. Cancer is suck a fickle and unpredictable disease. In fact, one who has seen its effects many times might even say that it is less a disease and more a force of nature because its so unpredictable.
You friend is a very brave and strong woman to decide to stop the treatments. Sometimes, people spend the final months and years focusing so hard on trying to beat the disease that it overpowers the very reason they are fighting; to live. I hope the plans you have together are fun, exciting and full of memories that will be cherished for two lifetimes.
