Ha! My ex had an ex who did this when they got nervous and he couldn't stand it.
Me, my girlfriend always downplays her achievements and it starts to grate on me OH and she feels the need to always be super honest (which is why I love her) but that includes telling embarrassingly honest things about me to new people we're hanging out with. Yeah, it can get awkward.

I'm extremely guilty of doing that as well. A lot of guys quote movies and tv shows, it's just how we bond. I work in retail, our store also has movies for rent. Being surrounded on a daily basis by movies, I tend to do this more now than I did before working there. For example if there are 2 people working in our recieving room, I'll pop my head in the door and say, "I just wanted to tell you both good luck, we're all counting on you." Can't help it. With me, it's kind of my way of seeing if someone has a good sense of humor, when first meeting them, or just serious with a stick up their ass all the time.

I really like that entry, Suri, it made me smile. I don't know anything about my neighbors...it's odd. I live on the bottom floor of a house that must have at least 5 other people in it, and I've really never even seen anyone else. I do get my internet from an emergency medicine resident upstairs...slip money in his mailbox every couple months.

You are a very good spy. I think there are many people here who revel in the blog espionage that is yours. You give us enough to know that you are an amazing woman and you keep enough hidden for our imaginations. I read your blog often, and comment little, simply because I tend to trend toward "omg you are so awesome" comments no matter what, because that's what I think. That said, blogs are here for venting, if you have something you need to spill don't over-analyze it give it your all, read it over a few times and hit enter. You might be surprised how well that turns out.
