It's looking more and more like the time of the year when sitting in bed with a few books and copious amounts of tea becomes the best way to pass time. Fortunately I live about four blocks away from Left Bank Books these days and a guy from one of my classes gave me two kgs of yerba mate for free. Hope all is well.

This weekend was very productive. I got a lot of stuff done. I cleaned my room and the house up. I reorganized my closet. I took a bunch of winter clothes out of storage and washed them.. (8 loads of laundry.. whooo!) and put them away. I cooked a big dinner.

yeah im actually on sort of a research spree of childrens art, i dont so much want to make books for kids, as i want to make books that children might make, if that makes sense, like i want to illistrate them the way a child would. so its a little challenging, especially as a flip book,
and yesh i think im going with the book over a pair of bernhard machines, but fuck it, the book i can pass on to someone , someday, the machines will prolly get tossed when i die.

yeh, i thought so too when i first heard about it! it's a day of drinking (not for me of course), showing off ink and stand-up comedy. chest pieces were one of the last categories so i entered mine in best large colour instead (got nowhere). my man's boss however picked up two well-deserved artist's trophies for a carp on a friends ribs and his partner's forest back job. we'll at least get photos in the next tattoos down under magazine, which is always exciting.

yeah, i guess my credit is better now. that whole "paying back my loans on time" thing apparently works really well. plus i've been really good with the credit cards i've gotten, so yeah, looks like things are good and getting better.
the pics should be fine. the bottom of the tattoo is a bit blurry, which kinda sucks because that's where so much detail is, but it's not a big deal.

busy weekend. I tattooed my baby brother, who turned 18 yesterday! So sad! im so old. He's getting so tall and handsome too. In two days is my baby sisters birthday now. Sheesh! It seems like only yesterday she was peeing the bed and playing with troll dolls, and my brother was dressing like bill (bill and ted) and running in circles.. *sigh*
