Today I became intimate with the bus system in the Five College area!
My plan was to show up at a painting class and beg to audit it. Auditing, for those not familiar with the phrase, is ideal for deadbeats and disenchanted ex-students like myself, as you don't have to pay. So i looked carefully at what UMass had to offer, deciding against Painting I:...

I love your appearance in Bailey's set.
P.S - Holy fuckholedom, you're a cute youngster. I was just a chubby version of my father until I hit 17.

I think that was the best journal entry I ever read.
I was a really wierd kid, too. But my mother helped it along. For instance: when I was three, my birthday cake was BLACK and had The Count from Sesame Street on it (he was my favorite).
When I was six, she made me a bat costume for Halloween. I wore it for two years in a row and was really pissed off when I grew out of it.

edit:
the best CD ever is now added to my wishlist.

Could the internet please stop being dramatic? Curtain call for the internet!! Wash off the fucking greasepaint and collect the bouquet of roses from stage left.

I read through all that well-done ranting, agreed with it, found it enlightening and amusing, but because I'm who I am, the phrase that sticks with me is "midget salad tossing".
And honestly, not as a sexual image, but as a chain of stores that would sell freshly made salads, all tossed by trained midgets.
Remind me to get more sleep, please.
Oh, and you're awesome. In case you were wondering.
Internet drama be damned, etc.

indeed it seems we are all six fingered and french while on the interweb. on the flipside, however, that very same patinkin-ness provides a bravado that can be put to good means.
your paintings are great...remind me some of my two favorite painters - schiele and freud.

If you can't find my emails sent from my gmail account on the 10th and 13th of August, I'll do like you've instructed. It should be easy to find them, even in the dark: they're the ones with the fur.

I think that is one of the most amusing journal entries I've ever seen/read/witnessed/experienced/remote-viewed.
Sivericus geekwadicus and the "Coffee Dance" will soon be classic. Thanks for making my evening.

Today's entry is going to be titled "Party Times." Fitting, as this weekend has been drunker than a boatload of sailors on a Mardi Gras float. And yet i stand before ye to tell the harrowing tale, and share important survival tips. HUNKER DOWN and harken to my tale.

, cuz lord knows I'm gonna return that kart to get my fucking quarter back. After all, IT'S A QUARTER! Imagine all the wonderful places I can go with that quarter, like, gumball land... or the magical kingdom of a two minute local-toll call.
return that kart and JET AWAY, to the exciting land of three sticks of juicy fruit, or the splendid getaway of gilded society known only as "chic-let."
The quarter deposit, as good as a 16lb chain on that kart... a 16lb chain made of butter.

"Fly me to the moon?" No.
Fly me to L.A.
This may sound like begging, but really, it's just common sense and good old-fashioned American whatchamahoozits.

oh my good jibbles. staying with my parents was like cramming a watermelon into a calendar's vagina. being as i am allergic to the cats, their modus operandi was, from the get-go, "keep Siv out of the house at all costs." Which means that we ate out three times a day and went to museums, movies, the gym, shopping, etc with nary a...

So i have to tell you the story of why i quit art school. Well, it was avariety of factors that were piling up to make me want to quit really. But this particular teacher was the one who soured it for me like so much urine in a bottle instead of mountain dew. She was really really in to stuff being "conceptual" whereas i just wanna make something feckin cool looking that maybe has a little story behind it. We had to submit several sketches and a 2 page write up of our plans for our final painting project to her for approval, and then we had to meet with her to discuss the idea. Basically she told me my plan wasn't "deep" or "conceptual" enough. That i needed to incorporate symbolic elements into the painting other than what i had. She said she wanted me to come up with a new idea and then basically just told me what i should do. So at this time i was going under an art scholarship where i had to get 3.5 GPA in ALL of my art classes, so i just basically let her talk me into changing my entire piece. So i work really hard, make the piece really complex, but it is oil paint and we only have like 4 days, and everything gets a little muddy looking. It still turned out ok, but i still like my original idea better. So along comes the "Review Circle" which basically means the teacher critiques you in front of everyone. So she says "well, i don't know. Maybe this is too conceptual. Sometimes it is good to make a painting that is just beautiful in of itself, without such visual complexity. I think the meaning is lost. You should have gone with your original idea." I got a D on my final project which was around 40% of the grade, AAAAAAHHHHHHHH AAAAAAHHHHHH AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! If i had a fork at the time it would have felt nice to be poppin me some eyeballs.
So basically i dropped out of school because that was the final horrific experience i ever wanted to have with rediculous art teachers. Maybe i will go back to school someday, but i dread it. I hate upper level painting teachers .....they are so full of it.
