First off, I have nothing against prostitutes, escorts, or anything like that. I also think there is a WORLD of difference between being a well-paid and well-treated escort versus being a street prostitute and an ever bigger difference between girls who do it on their own and girls who... Read More
I got something lodged in my eyelid at work, then scar tissue formed and sealed it in. Now they're trying to get it out without permanently disfiguring me, I go back in two weeks for round 2. I think I'd look pretty cool with an eye patch though, but yes it is extraordinarily unpleasant.
I'm about halfway through House of Leaves right now and it's still one of the craziest books I've read...it's pretty awesome, check it out if you get the chance.
Also been catching up on some Top Gear; that show is the best! Ever! I have no idea what is going on with the American version, it will probably be crap, but the original is about... Read More
First, I have some awesome family! Not only are they super good people, but they are damn funny too... Mom just turned 50 on the 7th and had her birthday dinner and party tonight with the neighborhood friends. Yep, they drank a lot and those... Read More
Apparently, our President is a worthless piece of s*it who has ruined our country...now, while I think he is being a HUGE wuss for not trying harder to get past Republican filibustering, I hardly think... Read More
I try to be careful with making broad statements since they are tough to validate. The president is responsible for more than any other single member of the government, however they are by no means the sole decision maker nor are they responsible for everything that happens from the first day until the last day of their term.
I will say that we all need to pay attention to the budget, debt, and deficit and what the elected's do with it as well as how they try to manipulate us by talking about it. It is common for both parties to talk about lowering debt, passing a budget, and then yelling "what about the children?" when it comes time to cut individual programs. It is a form of blackmail and we need to watch out for the narrow side of that wedge. Increasing the debt ceiling every year is as crazy as not having one or setting it to 100 Trillion. There are a lot of issues, but keep an eye on health care. Nullification of federal laws by the states is a major event, and the courts have a lot of work ahead of them. This is going to be an exciting time.
There are idiots around, and I tend to think a lot of people are idiot drivers or idiots about courtesy, but it's hard to be accurately informed on everything going on in our government. Mainly because is not perfect, and they are not objective. Choosing a story to print is a form of bias. I think a lot of people do want the same thing here, but I will not agree Obama is a moderate. There are different ways to approach it, but to say we should chill out and not care is wrong in my book (some people make this supposition and it leads to lots of bad things historically).
Avoiding conflict in our arguments is also meritless. Adults should find conflict and discuss it. It's okay to disagree, but some think the #1 goal is to avoid conflicting opinion wherever possible.
Religion is kinda good at recruiting and sometimes that means free education along with the sales pitch. See: Latin America
i see. my mom is out in the sticks outside of merlin with her husband. they get more and more reclusive with age. it's nice where they are and grants pass is as close as it gets to a metro area. gotta go hit up fred myers. i usually get there once a year for a holiday and then more if i get on a tour going up the coast. i'm serious about the rogue theater. everytime i've been by there there's no one to talk to, etc. looks like a nice place.
New Year's Eve ended up being awesome! Had some dinner at Red Lobster (Damn, I LOVE lobster!!!) with my man, then we headed over to the bar(s) known as Shenanigan's. It actually was pretty entertaining with the exception of people using those obnoxious noise-horn things starting at 9. It was especially fun watching all the girls who decided it was a... Read More
Had never heard of Apocalyptica before your comment, so I YouTubed them. Damned impressive... never thought I'd see dudes rockin' out on cellos. Guess I have a new favorite band to explore.
Thanks
Ok, so I discovered not too long ago that the creator of one of my favorite cartoons, known as Invader Zim, also has a comic book...and guess who got it for Christmas?! This girl! It's called Johnny The Homicidal Maniac and it is awesome! Um, a bit twisted, but he talks about the faults of society so well and for being a schizophrenic murderer, the... Read More
Ok, my first set will be up at 4 today and I'm a little nervous! I think it looks good, but I know this site is very picky and specific about what it accepts...and I have seen some nasty coments in the past on other sets. So, if you do like it, please let me know! And if you don't, well, please be nice about... Read More
Almost Christmas! Yay! I have found (almost) everyone awesome gifts and now I'm looking forward to getting some time off to spend with my friends and family. Also, due to time and $ constraints I am sending out e-cards to everyone and I would be more than happy to send one out to anyone on here who would like one as well. Who doesn't like... Read More
People confuse me, which is especially ironic considering I have a Psychology degree, but it's true. I have had at least one experience a day, if not more, for some time now that just make me question what people are thinking. For example, why would you want to have a friend that you don't really like? What is the point of inviting someone into your... Read More
