i'm kind of missing my fuzzy head, so reminiscing i post this old pic. the most fun was when i had the bangs horizontally striped with 6 different colors. now i'm down to only two. and actually having hair is a bit strange, but i needed something new.
i plan on letting it get fairly long but i may get entirely bored with it before...

it's too late (or early) to be witty or interesting...well that's difficult enough anytime, so i'm posting some recycled words. here's a poem i wrote when i was 14. i had never been in love but it seems kinda perceptive now. still sounds like a plan to me..

Rough Outline of a Future (no apologies to disappointed parents)

We can live together
and be poor...

impressive work for a 14 yr old. it still holds true today. if more of us lived our lives like that, everything would be much better. perhaps our existance wouldn't be so mundane anymore.

haven't seen bottle rockets, but if you think it could be like lebowski, then that is reason enough to see it. thanks for the sweet comments and your hair rocks!

today just sucked.
i felt sick again today. i've just been getting too little sleep and consuming way too much junk food. i don't remember the last time i ate something healthy.
so i didn't go to class. and it's one i still consider important. i'll have to do the reading tomorrow night. i missed work too. i feel kind of bad. i only worked...

That picture is as much me as anything else. Including the plagery.

Yeah, it ain't original, but it makes people laugh and it makes me laugh. I love animals so I find it adorable and so I use it. Loverly, no? smile

Btw, Rilke.. fantastic! My last girlfriend introduced me. I love it.

And update your journal, sillie Alabama girl. smile

this is a tribute to free spirited old men.

you know who i'm talking about. unkempt possibly bushy white hair, what's left of it...why worry with it now. thin. glasses. maybe toting a mysterious black bag. somewhat resembling regular old men...only somehow they're not old at all. it's not just that they dont give a damn that they're getting "old." there's some kind of spark...

i had an art teacher in high school who perfectly fit that description....ive never learned so much about not only art but myself from any other person ive met....he made life seem so open ended and exciting and instilled in me that same sense of passion for life and what it has to offer and what i have to possibly offer it....

i see that in my dad too...hes been sick for as long as i can remember...in and out of hospitals so on and so forth....but yet he wakes every morning with a smile on his face and this uncanny desire to live life to its fullest....its like he knows theres not much time for him left but he's still going to take life by the balls and get as much enjoyment and fulfillment out of each day that he can.....

hmm well now that ive just told you my entire life's story...i just thought i should say thanks or something for posting such a lovely entry...so...thanks...

hope you have a lovely day....

I'm personally looking forwards to being old and retired...finding a hobby ...playing with my grand kids and great grand kids...

My grandparents are such amazing people and so happy and in love with each other and life... I hope I can find something that special some day. =)

my close friends have been getting injured lately. yesterday, as if to follow through on some kind of curse, i fell down my stairs. i dont know what the hell happened. i wasnt even wearing socks. i didnt make it past the first step. well i did, but on my ass. i was left with a big skinned up red mark on my thigh. "these...

do you ever feel like you very well may be thinking too much for your own good? that's how i've felt lately. i can't seem to quit analyzing things that are probably better left alone. it's true that sometimes things just suck, but thinking about all the negative things, which have pervaded recently, only makes everything seem worse. it seems like most things in life...

Hey bevin13090,

Just remember: It's never too late to change your major, it's never too late to punt that crucial class.

At least that was my opinion when I was a sophomore in college. Ahhh, being a sophomore....that was the best three years of my life! :-)

re: what I want to do with my life

I frame the question differently. What do I want to do in life? not What do I want to be?

Discover
Pioneer
Invent
Entertain

These driving needs have led me to software development and performing arts.

I author (e.g. write narrative, draw flow diagrams) business requirements for software. My job is to answer the questions: What are the business needs of an applications customers? What does the application have to do to meet those needs? (Discover, Invent)

My audience is engineers. An engineer reads what I author, and answers the question: how can the application perform the actions that satisfy customers' business needs.

There is a fascinating and frustrating communication chasm between engineers and product developers. Engineers tend to interpret things in 0's and 1's, it either is this thing, or it is not this thing. Precise, disciplined, strict, efficient. Product developers tend to interpret things in synonyms and images. They will latch on to any metaphor that serves to create a mental picture from existing frames of reference (current or traditional) in order to describe and visualize something that doesn't yet exist. Product developers have a hard time constraining themselves to the structured, precise vocabulary engineers need to build applications. There lies the frontier. So the really hard part of the job is finding the most effective and efficient way for engineers and product developers to cooperate. (Pioneer, Invent)

Performing arts satisfy my peculier needs for instant feedback and approval. In Software development, I often don't find out if I've done my job well for weeks because someone may have had different priorities.
In entertainment, the approval is instantaneous with the end of a song, or scene, or play - it's called applause. In rehearsal for a play, approval comes in the moment that I try something new, and the other actors in the scene respond. (Discover, Invent, Entertain). I do most of my musical performing in public places. Applause is not very common, but I always make a few bucks in tips. I don't need those dollars. It just seems to be the way an audience in a public place prefers to show approval. Many of my tips come from people who don't even stop to listen. These are approvals of the highest order. I don interpret them as a reward for job well done. These folks make a more fundamental statement that, regardless of whether my performance is appealing, they believe that what I'm doing is important and valuable to the community. (Discover, Invent, Entertain)

i hate: physics
i love: morgan's new set. i've been obsessively looking at it at least a couple times a day. smile

i dislike: the idea of an awkward situation in which i have to hang out with the guy i'm dating and a friend with whom i share a huge crush. yes, they know about each other. i'm really flirty/affectionate. now i'll feel like i...

today has been such a waste.
and now i remember why i dont force myself to get up at 6:30 am anymore. it's just inhumane. ive always thought that "good morning" is a contradiction, and it makes me want to kick someone. not necessarily the person saying the greeting, he/she has good intentions. maybe the person driving really slowly in front of me.
im thinking...

I'd like to kill morning people. Slowly. Painfully. I swear to god, the next chipper face I see at 8:30 am in the dorm bathroom...grr.
You'd be a great SuicideGirl. I worry I'm not "alternative" enough. I sent them a picture a month or two ago...I might send them another with my new hair (it was a fairly natural-looking red before).
Re: your note--Cuddling and Monty Python would be fantastic. Your state or mine?

Mornings are definitly no good.. though for me those mornings will be gone soon cause I will be working at night.. so I guess I will be waking up in the evenings.. hmm.. that will be wierd.

Don't worry they will stop hurting pretty soon.. it takes about a week before they stop hurting and then probably about a month before you can just not be reminded of them everytime you move.. hehe.. ehh its all worth it. I might be going through it again to get the other one done. All my friends laughed at me when i would have a cup of salt water stuck to my chest.. i looked like such a dumbass.. ohh well.. i do most of the time anyway.

fortunately but strangely, i was only sick saturday.
dumb deed of the day: my physics exam was monday. it wasn't quite as hard as i thought so i might have actually passed. but what pissed me off was, there was one problem that i knew exactly how to do. only i didnt know the conversion factor, at the end, into horsepower. last week the prof...

this song randomly popped into my head, without a trace by soul asylum. hehe..i know, it's old, but i still really like the lyrics to the verses...

I fell in love with a hooker
She laughed in my face
So seriously I took her
I was a disgrace

I was out of line; I was out of place
Out of time to save face

i agree with you about one hour photo. i was really excited about it but it was out of my mind in about an hour after i saw it. plus, that lady that played the kid's mom really bugged me. sure, moms can be hip, but she just did'nt seem like a mother to me (bad casting? trying a little too hard?) i recently saw sex and lucia. it is great, i highly recommend it. oh, and signs was damn entertaining. take care of yourself.

I didn't think the original manhunter was that bad.. I mean it didn't have Hopkins in it... but it was decent.

Ohh and Death to Smoochy.. such a great movie.. I love it.
