I have loved in this uncontrollable way, so I would say it’s true. I have an obsessive personality—truly, I do—so doing anything in healthy moderation is difficult. Once it feels good or even just intense, I want to chase that feeling down and saturate myself in that sensation. Life is full of more even tempered expressions and moments, not shouts, however. Sex has one climax. Yes, a woman can have them in succession, but in my experience, the first is the most powerful by far and can’t be duplicated until her body has had the time to cool down and return to the foot of the mountain. Learning to enjoy and be content with the mundane or quiet—I might dare say routine or average, though I’d hesitate to compare love with either—is the key to longevity and contentment. Also, capitalizing upon those instances of intensity and intimacy helps. Disney and fairytales can make our concept of romantic love and our expectations of our partners a bit unrealistic and oversimplified. Hopefully, as we mature and gain actual experience—in love, friendship, sex, and life—our relationships and self mature as well. I penetrate literature much more effectively than I do music. I honed my skills to appreciate writing and words. I have been blessed with a natural ability to comprehend composition and to craft images/ideas with these symbols we call words. You do this with music notes and the tools of musical composition. The one thing we share--Beethoven and I, you and I--is our ability to perceive that which lies beyond poetry, novels, sonatas, and concertos. I'll liken it to being able to see beyond the body to the soul that lies within and is the driving force behind it all. <3  =)
