Those sleeping in photos are fantastic! I think the raising hell then snuggling thing is an orange tabby personality trait. My orange monster does the same thing. Starting about 5am, he makes noise enough to wake me up, then keeps bugging me until I get up, and if I won't, just comes up on the bed and sleeps. Damn cats.

I'm right there with ya on the pet problem. I have four big (65-90 lbs.) dogs and they're all completely terrified of one of my cats, aptly named Sweetie. She's the meanest bitch in ten counties and the dogs haven't been able to walk down the hall since she arrived. Water guns, wadded-up paper and yelling have all failed miserably. She's even rude to the other cats. And you're right, there's not much that can be done and they won't just get used to each other. Good luck, I've gotta go remove Sweetie from the pit bull's ear...
