God I love your blogs. I have always had troubles with sleeping, and about a year ago, I started taking melatonin to help me sleep at night, and I found after awhile that it was causing frightening lucid dreams. I used to have lucid dreams almost every other night, and I would literally have to say to myself that I was dreaming in order to wake up...and when I did, I would usually be standing in my room with the lights on, or doing something else very unnatural. It was weird. I stopped taking melatonin, and the lucid dreams stopped. It's a very bizarre feeling being trapped in the in between conscious and unconscious stages of sleep. And unless you want to pop by here for some tricks I've found that there are some quite good free podcasts on iTunes that teach you tricks step by step really quickly.
