Well it depends. 
Which kind of blog posts do you prefer?
The realistic ones? Details of the day/week, including stories about friends, family, whats been bothering the person, how his/ her job is going, etc.
Or the romantic mysterious ones? Where the person paints an open ended picture for you and you fill in the blanks and imagine what kind of person they actually are.

I prefer the realistic ones, with enough detail that you can follow what's going on but not so much that the blog entry is pages and pages long.

I made the same move a while back. I have Office 2004 but I haven't experienced what Smythe mentions. The only problem I have is it won't remember my home network; I have to enter the WEP password and click on "join" a couple of times before it syncs up. Other than that, it works pretty good, but I should probably upgrade my RAM to 2GBs (I currently have 1GB in a nearly 4-year-old Macbook Pro). Have fun.
