Happy Halloweeeeeen.

We have too many options of things to do and we can't decide what thing(s) to actually do...

Also I am extremely short on money, as my student loan is STILL fucking frozen until November 6, everything
will be fine in November, but for the last few months things have been financially hellish.

I don't think I'll be selling any 8x10s from SG...

January I start my classes for metal-smithing/jewelry.

Shit, I don't have anytime to myself anymore. I'm loaded up on work and school work and yet I'm still not making enough money. My student loans are frozen until November so I can't really do much of anything until then. i've had to pay for most of my school stuff out of pocket this year which is...

So I finally have enough internet power to stay online for 5 minutes. My back is out. Or my hip. I can't tell exactly, but whatever it is, its brutal. I think it started when I fell down the stairs last week... and that was because of the surgery on my foot. Good god. I am a moron. smile

This weeked is (Canuck) Thanksgiving. I am...

well cool about your internet being back for long enough ! heh, well that sucks... be careful now, we don't want a broken Jaeci ! And sorry, no recipes, I really don't do much for Thanksgiving... just a nice day to spend some family time together but nothing more.
noahmack:
Hands down, the best Thanksgiving dish in the WORLD is..................................................deviled eggs. They have to be made proper though, withpickle relish. I've seen quite a few people who don't make their deviled eggs without this key ingredient and it really makes all the difference in the world. I usually eat about a dozen or so on Thanksgiving. Yum. Dressing is always good, as well.

Back from the dead.

I hate my fucking neighbors. They listen to the most stupid fucking droning music. I don't think it would bother me if I didn't have to listen to it against my will all the time. All this music does is whine and make me feel like I'm on Mars. SHUT UP. YAARGHHH. It is too early to listen to this tragic...

My old friend got married today, I missed the ceremony because of car trouble, but at least got to be at the wedding

I think I've had a bit of a bug all week.
In response to all the questions, I had surgery on my foot again this past week. It's basically to try to repair a prolem that has been ongoing for the last...

Hello, I'm back...

Portland is dope. I live in Seattle and try to visit it whenever I can. Plus, there are so many awesome SGs who live there, you would totally get the best tour.

I recommend Voodoo Doughnuts.

ooo aaa

I hope things are going well for you. Portland is great, I really want to move out there when I graduate. Whatever you might think about the author aside Chuck Palahniuk wrote a great walking guide of Portland called Fugitives and Refugees. Well worth looking through at a library if nothing else.

P.S. get well soon.

Yargggghhh I feel like shit.

I love Broken Bones-- the band, not the unfortunate circumstance.

My hacked up foot is fucking KILLING ME.
I had one of those terribly productive days that somehow felt wasted, and evrything took longer than it should have because i have to hobble around. I've been feeling nauseous all week. I want biscuits.

I love asking questions here, you guys...

That last post was awesome! Knowing 5 weird things about people is great. Later today I am going to comment back to peope. I have surgery on my foot this morning (yarggghhh) so I will be home for most of the day.

So TODAY.....
Tell me 2 of the following things.

If you could choose your last meal, what would it be?

Hope the foot's OK. eeek

My last meal, given freedom to choose anything, would be my dear departed grandma's flapjacks (think ultra-thin crepes). You sprinkle one with sugar and roll it up - the sugar melts and you're on your way to a heavenly food experience. I used to eat a dozen or more of them at the farm on weekend mornings. love

The trip I'm lusting for right now is to New York City. I've never been there, and never really had any great desire to go, but the awesome Hallie is in a very cool show there, and I've still never seen Kitty & The Kowalskis play live, so an autumn pilgrimage is under serious consideration.

Tell me 5 random things about yourself.

I don't always have time to get back to all the comments and e-mails and this will give me a chance to know people better.

I'll start!

1. I love 2 and a Half Men ( The TV show).
2. I won't go near peanutbutter, but I really love pea-butter. On rice cakes. MMMMMM.
3. I use all...

graveshow:
1. I will often start something just to see how people react.
2. I overthink things to the point of making myself pissed off at me for overthinking things.
3. I have far too many blogs...and they rarely match each other. So if one were to read them all at once, they'd have a clearer picture of me.
4. I dont eat okra. Dont trust it. Its a childhood trauma thing.
5. I sing Frank Sinatra tunes to my son when he is sick, because songs like "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" and "It Had To Be You" have calmed him since birth.
oro:
I love two and a hlaf men! And I'm scared of bees! woah dude...

1- Watching TV sometimes make me cry.

2- I'm addicted to spring rolls.

3- I'll rip your face off if you say something sexist, racist or in any way unfair or disrespectful but I hate humans so bad I want to kill everyone some days.

4- I sing really cheezy songs when I'm alone.

5- Everytime I take off a beer label, I think of a naked woman.

I just started a "real" travel blog (as in not a blog on SG).
Any who blogs (shit, I HATE that word), do you have any advice on how to generate traffic or good affiliate advertising or anything?

EDIT:
I haven't seen any blogs that are quite like the one I'm writing. I think it is going to be really cool!

I contemplated doing a blog once but I know I'd be too lazy to maintain it. I did however bookmark this article on 21 Surefire Tips for a Successful Blog Launch.
My #1 rule for blogging (uhh) is: Post Often. I stop reading blogs that don't update often enough. You want your readers to be stoked to come back, not bored.
Rule #2 would be to always reply to comments on your blog, and definitely if the commenter has their own blog which they can link to yours or even direct traffic to your blog by mentioning you in their posts.
Also, I don't think it would be a problem for you, but a blog definitely must have good design and should visually flow. You'd think that's kind of obvious, but I see blogs that have stupid colours and weird layouts that hurt my brain. Don't be that kind of blog.
Good luck in the blogosphere [is that like the stupidest word ever?]
Peace out

hang in there. January isn't all that far off. i'm intrigued by your 'blog' idea, although i find that word hard to use as well. wink

I'm going to Italy...!
And I need money.

Buy my art. I hate to sell it because it makes me feel like an asshole, but if you like any of it, you can buy it.
PM me with your offer.

FYI, these are not the usual style of art I do, which is why I can deal with parting with them. Most of them were...

That's cool, but the paintings you have up on your blog don't, like, suck. They're really cool. So the ones you do like enough to horde must be rad, seriously.
I like that you do art for the hell of it, like that's why an artist should be doing art. I've had artistic phases, but I just liked the process of doing art, and creating a unique object, like a painting or a sketch, much more than I liked the results of that process. It didn't bother me (much) that I sucked at it. At least the artwork was all mine. And I like the peacefulness of painting or drawing. Exhibiting or selling didn't factor in.
By the way, that tattoo you have on your upper left arm, of like a stick figure, is rad.
