@ameline has a new set up in MR. If she doesn't go pink with this set then I'm losing what little faith I have left in humanity. You don't want that to happen, do you? Go pay homage to the sexiness that is that girl.

Who knows what darkness will follow if I lose my faith in humanity!! Let's not let that happen and get @ameline to the front page post haste!

Humans are beings of infinite potential. We are the only beings in existence like us (as far as we know). We will get @ameline to FP. Just don't lose hope. :)

So two dear friends of mine on this site are celebrating birthdays. My dear @esmic is celebrating today and @rocket celebrated yesterday (or was it the day before? I have a terrible concept of time....) Everyone should go wish them a happy birthday!

and just for them...

Seriously, why were we born? hehe.

So as last nights blog states, I am indeed single again. Having been the initiator of the break up I am doing rather well. He is decidedly not, but he'll recover soon enough. Why the break up, you ask? Well, there were just these little things that life experience has taught me will become big things. I've been around

@theyerg, I actually go to Snug Harbor quite frequently though I don't go on Thursdays very much. The DJ tends to annoy me.  He'll be playing a good set, then stop to just ramble on about nothing. I mean, it's entertaining for sure, but it definitely gets old. Maybe he doesn't do that every Thursday, but he's done it on the Thursdays I've been there. I go to Common Market a lot, too. I guess I just think I'm too socially awkward to meet people...
darquan223:
I know what it's like to feel socially awkward. I'm sorry people make you feel that way. Rarely do people want to talk about things that I think about. Sometimes though, I find a person or group on a random night having an interesting convo. I still get the feeling though that most people are generally just waiting for me to shut up so they can talk again. :/

Well, I'm single again. Who wants to take a girl out to dinner? (just kidding....or am I??)

Thank you. They've gotten a whole lot better since I've moved here too. I've been moving quickly up the ladder since I've arrived. I took a job as a prep chef to have work after two weeks to insure some income. 8 months later I was holding a head chef's position in a different restaurant and I just recently got hired as an executive chef of 3 pubs. One a mix typical British and American fare, one is Chinese food and the other is Indian.  Though I don't know much yet about cooking Chinese or Indian I'm 100% willing to learn.

In the future, that dinner date will happen: http://time.com/2800071/teleportation-quantum-entanglement/  ;)

Boobs. There. Do I have your attention yet?

(you can see how disorganized my room is in that last picture. I'm the least organized virgo I know, which leads me to believe that astrology is crap.)

I wish I had the selfie skils that @ameline does. That girl is amazing I tell you! I can't wait to hang out with her next month when I

My birthday is in September, @schiavona! Horse back riding definitely lets me be myself and I really need that at this point in my life. It's the only activity I do where I can slow down or stop my racing thoughts.
pyrdaemon:
Nothin wrong with wanting a thing or two, I don't really want much of anything (so the family doesn't really know what to get me lol). It's easy to find stuff but I'd rather have something useless that's meaningful than something useful that's meaningless. I can burn holes in my pockets really fast at times. Ya got nothin to feel guilty about ; )

Well, there's no contest here. My favorite body mod is my Jersey tattoo, my homage to my beloved home state.

That's an old picture, but it's the best picture I have of it. What surprises me the most is the amount of people who mistake the outline that is obviously New Jersey for other places. People have mistook it for California, Louisiana, and England, among

Nice, you should say that to people! I got a good lol when I read it = ) It definitely doesn't look like any of those, I wouldn't recognize and probably just ask.

Asking is better than assuming it's California, @pyrdaemon!

When asked about my favorite movie I must admit I was a bit stumped. You see, part of my illness is an inability to sit still for long periods of time. It's not so much a short attention span mind you, but more of a certain sort of fidgety-ness. I get 'ants in the pants', if you will. This feeling can be nullified be reading...

ahh love this post. Morbidity, discovering bisexuality---I'm not sure where I am anyway sexually but I am drawn to men and woman ---sort of somewhere in there somehow..:) But morbidity has been with me since around age 7 and I'm middle aged now---cutting, suicide attempts --yeah the whole scene and this will always be with me. So wish I could have embraced this as a Goth when I was young..but maybe it is never too late..And Beethoven --  I took piano for about 17 years and my last piece that I had mastered was a Beethoven Variation that was so moving and emotional!!. I can still play the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata and I learned that in High School. Yeah the muscle memory is still there...along with the emotional and soul memory..:) Thank you Iggy for all the support you give me and have given me. I admire you sooo much!!

That is my favorite painting. Sometimes, when in certain states of inebriation, I like to think that I modeled for it in a past life. It's certainly something I would do, no? The painting is called 'Two Girls' and it's by the artist Christian Schad, who did much of his work during the Weimar Period in Germany.

I think about the 1920's and wish I

That painting is really something. I can understand the want to stop and stare at it! If you got a high enough res you could reprint yourself? I don't suppose the gallery has prints? The art deco of that time is really inspiring, almost a bridge between two time, which I suppose it is. The world turned but the art was somehow still magical, soft, it's hard not to love that. You'd have fit right in! I've had half formed thoughts of going for an deco vibe when I decorate my stairs and 1st floor landing.
iggy:
I suppose if I found a high enough resolution image I could indeed print it myself, @trills. It's definitely something to look into! If I had my druthers (and money!) I would get a house from the twenties and decorate a lot of it in an art deco fashion.

I don't normally do the celebrity crush thing, but there are exceptions to prove the rule. That being said, I have the most massive crush on Kevin Barnes from of Montreal. He's one dreamy piece of man flesh. He's not stereotypically handsome, but he writes a damn good song and seems generally weird, and that's enough to get me going. Also, he's way thin. I...

I'm listening to Tv on the Radio and thinking back to ten years ago. That's when I first heard them. Funny, how music can do that to you.

Ten years ago this month I was on the brink of homelessness, though I didn't know it at the time. I was spending a lot of time in the city. (By city I mean New York. New...
