Well, it has come to this. I'm no longer satisfied with anyone in my area. I'm giving OK Cupid a try, and if I can get money for it, eHarmony as well. I figured, what the hell, why not? It works for some people, hopefully it'll work for me.

Has any one else on here tried it? & If so, any advice?

i tried it once when i thought i was down on my luck. it was one week then i cancelled it. im to old school. i would rather meet someone out in public and try sparking a conversation. face to face i think is the best way to know someone.even though some people on dating sites and have a connection.

I have had good luck on OK Cupid.  It gives you a chance to talk and get to know someone before wasting time on a lousy date.

Peace Corps

I'm thinking about applying for the Peace Corps. I think I'd absolutely love helping people in third world countries. I've always thought about it.

Thoughts, anyone?

A friend of mine said her son was thinking of the Peace Corps too. That is hard core, but very worthwhile I'm sure. I lived overseas for 6 months once and there were Peace Corps workers in the next village 5 miles down the road. I was in awe that they were there for 2.5 years. Given that it's such a big commitment maybe there are ways you could test the waters first. Maybe a 2 or 3 week volunteering trip with a team or something.

I think its a fantastic way to see the true world and give to those who have only ever been taken from, I did work with world vision and plan Canada in the past and its depressing how many people could deny the billions in need because the millions here have not got it perfect yet. We are all human beings who deserve a chance to not only be alive but to live, and until the world can unite with a common concern for ALL people, its people like the peace corps who keep humanity from slipping into the Abyss of ignorance and greed!
