You always have the most "interesting" journal entries.
Tkanks for sharing again, you are truly amazing.

Symmetry again. It's been a lazy day out this way as well. I've eaten well, slept well, and refreshed the SG Survivor page far too many times in order to see what was up.

Rain is amazing, no? Yesterday it was thudding down here, rain and hail. I walked outside and a neighbor hailed me down. (Forgive the pun.) I think he was just making conversation in order to convince his dog that I was a friend. What he said was this: that it was set to hail again in another hour and not to be out of doors then. I opined that it was good to see a bit of drama out of M. Nature every now and again, and he half agreed and half thought me crazy.

Today: Clear, clear, clear, heavy rain and thunder, clear, clear.

Next up: Settling in with a mug of tea and a book of antiquated lectures on artificial intelligence.

It was a fan-subbed version of "Kiki's Delivery Service" that introduced me to Miyazaki, and holds a special place in my heart to this day. His final film and his 'no wait, this is my final film' are unusual in that I can watch them repeatedly. Most movies, no matter how much I love them, are experiences that I want to have only once and then move on. Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are thus somewhat unique.

I share your complaint with television. It doesn't matter how brain dead the show is - I can't stop looking at the flickering screen. There is good stuff out there, though. A few of my favorites I've acquired on DVD so I can watch them on my Mac's and avoid going brain-dead in the process.

Oh, and good call listing Dr. Seuss in your personal classics of western literature. I should have thought of that...

You are the posterchild for free traveler that everyone wants to be. Im curious as to how you go about setting up a trip like that and how much, and what to bring. My aunt is from Denmark and she told me that everyone should travel Europe at least a couple times in their life. I havent a clue how to go about doing it but I know that one day I will. It sounds like you're having an amazing adventure, what a great thing to experience in a life time. Well, keep telling us more, I look forward to hearing the next journal. kiss
