I lost my debit card and I have NO IDEA where it is frown It's not like a "I just used it yesterday it can't be too far" kind of thing either. I haven't used it since Oct. 15 (I checked my online statement) since then all I've been using is cash and paypal for things. I honestly have no idea where this fucker could be....

I once lost my ID for two months. I had to use the fake ID I used when I was 19 just to get into bars, even though I'm 25. I'm sure your card will show up again in a tormentingly obvious place.

Duuuuudes.
Same things are going on. Work, nap, work, nap, hang out with husband, nap, work etc. I don't have any complaints though about my life. I do have a minor issue with my lovely friends on SG telling me I work too hard. To put it very politely, I appreciate your concern but I'm doing just fine thank you very much. I had a...

Today was my grandmother's funeral and also exactly a year since my other grandmother died of cancer.
The service went well and everything went smoothly. I'm very surprised at how well my family stayed put together. I think being together keeps them strong.
I am so thankful for all your thoughts and best wishes during this whole process of me losing my grandmother, you all...

This sounds so morbid but I had share with you.
I am waiting for death to call.

It's just so odd to me. I don't think I've waited for death like this. Death has surprised me many times. Surprise, your U.S. History partner drove off a bridge and drowned! Looks like you'll give your project due today alone. Surprise, your friend drove his car off...

It is a strange head space, selfishly it is nicer to have time, to have closure and to make peace.

My grandpa had alztimers and at it's worst stage I visited him all summer knowing his time was soon. A few months after I saw him the disease progressed to his brain physically impairing him, causing problems with coordination of swallowing and breathing, he passed away in his sleep from pneumonia infection because of it. I remember when I found out it didnt really hurt me as much as relieved me that he finally had peace, and that I was so grateful that I had gotten to spend time with him and say my goodbyes in my mind months earlier...

Talked to my step-mom on the phone today. My grandma is still holding on. Everything sounds like she could go at any moment. I'm ready. I asked my step-mom if she, my dad, or our family was upset that my sisters and I haven't been up there yet and she said they had actually talked about that and did not want us to see her...

I really haven't had much to say lately. Well, nothing boring or negative.
I'm just chugging along, working, sleeping, editing weddings, when Ryan and I both have time off we're doing something like carving a pumpkin, having dinner with his parents, eating dinner I made with friends.
My grandma is in the hospital, she had a mini-stroke and there isn't much to do. Her platelets...

It's tough when the grandparents start suffering with age. Hang in there.
ehaynes13:
be strong for her. my grandmother is still recovering from a stroke she had several years ago. for a while it was difficult to understand what she was saying because she spoke quietly & had partial paralysis from her stroke. but, lately, she's been recovering and her speech is easier to understand.

my grandmother has many age related concerns but every day is another day to enjoy what is around you. i keep her in my heart & the things i do are a reflection of what she brought into this world.

I had moment today where I felt like a boss. My intern told me that her and her boyfriend broke up today and I didn't know what to do. I care but I don't know how to make things better. I think I'll buy her a soda tomorrow.

Today was a really good day.

I accidentally woke up 2 minutes before I had to be at work. I got to work 10 minutes late which put me about 15 minutes behind on donuts (and every minute matters) and I still managed to get them in the case on time and I even had extra work to do. Booyah.

Gruyere cheese as half off...

what do you do with Gruyere cheese? I like Cheddar by itself and I tried some Gruyere "leftover" from a dish that was never made at my grandma's. It was waaaay too strong.
