I broke and now I need a job too. I'm leaving Champaign and heading back west for bigger and better things. Hopefully I'll be able to see you and the wee one before I go.

I bought an iBook off a guy..yes a guy ..but it came with a completely valid Apple care so I thought HEY! what the heck! The DVD drive started giving me little bits of felt so I took it in to get a NEW DVD drive which is covered by the Apple care! GREAT! However ..there is corrosion on the logic board...

B) Yep, if it's true, he should've mentioned it -- but you should've checked into it, too.
C) Actually, if it IS just water, and the electronics was off at the time, 99% of the time you DO just dry it off with a hair dryer and it works just fine forever. Pure water isn't corrosive in itself, and should cause no damage as long as its removed relatively quickly (like in the next day or two).
