Well, it's 2010. I hope everyone has a great year, and here are some observations:

I've never cared for the "they bought the title" argument. If money alone, invested in superstar players, could guarantee a title, the Yankees would have forty titles by now. Money has been continuous invested, and only a change in philosophy has resulted in success.

You actually watch FoxNews? I think the one thing we can agree on is that we have a large amount of idiots in office if they can vote on a bill that hasn't even been written yet. Thats like saying I'll vote for box A over B for President even though I know nothing about them or who they even are.

He was screwed either way. If he didn't go they would have blamed him for the bid loss; while other presidents came and in their own charismatic way, gave heartfelt speeches for their country. Really, it had very little to do with Obama. Chicago's loss has everything to do with a city divided. Any poll you took would come down to just about 50/50 for or against the games coming.
I personally did not want to deal with that here. We can't quite get all our citizens to work on time as is, let alone with the world descending upon the city. Prices would skyrocket, and we already have an incredibly high sales tax rate. Viva Rio!

Continuing with the football theme... my Giants (and the Jets) are now 3-0. Who'd thunk that both NY teams would still be undefeated at this point in the season? Couple that with my Yankees winning the AL East... I'm one happy sports fan.

I expected the Jets to finish 8-8. I really didn't expect them to be this strong so early.
Giants and Jets are both 2-0... sweet.

I grew up in New York and lived here ever since. I started rooting for the Sox when I was 7 and the otther teams followed. I've never set foot in Chicago in my life.
All of my friends rooted for the Yankees, Dodgers or Giants. I wanted to be different, so I latched onto the Sox. I still remember the 1959 WS almost like it was yesterday.

I agree that Ozzie can be a very good manager. His fiery personality will ultimately be his undoing. I thought he'd be gone a couple of years ago. I don't know what the plans would be if Ozzie left, but i've always wanted Joey Cora to be the Sox manager.
This is kind of random, but sometimes I wish I could pull off wearing a cowboy hat. Not that I like them, or even want to wear one, I just wish I had the head/neck/build to pull it off. And also white jeans. I think they only look good on thin people, and I've never been thin. Ha ha Again, not that I like them...

I just saw a Pepsi throwback commercial today for the first time... it's retro because it has actual sugar? Is that the whole idea?
Lady Gaga: I kind of like her because I like to get wrecked and dance to ridiculous pop once in a while. Some of her videos are pretty interesting visually (I like Paparazzi for the fetish imagery and Bad Romance for the Alexander McQueen wardrobe... oh, McQueen, you are expensive and therefore break my heart.) Also, she runs around in latex and reportedly went to the same nerd-camp summer program as me as a kid.
Also, I like painting but dislike paint rollers. It is impractical to paint walls with a brush though, so if I had to paint my imaginary house I'd probably think it sucked too.
