I got my Eels tix yesterday. I think the date of the show is June 17th. I've read two reviews of the new album. The one in Spin was not great. The one in the L.A. Times was positive. The album sounds like a return to a more poppy sound. Less beat driven than Souljacker more happy than Electro Shock or Daisies. Mark cut his hair and beard off and his new publicity pics show him with these big aviator sunglasses on. He's a chameleon (sorta like Beck in that regard, although I hate the musical comparisons to him) so it will be fun hearing what he's up to now.

Those freaking Devils look like they're on their way. Anaheim just can't seem to get anything going ... we'll see what happens in the next two in CA, but I think midnight is rapidly approaching for Cinderella.

Did you see where the Flyers traded Cechmanek to LA yesterday? Great ... so we go from having a superior (albeit disgruntled and inconsistent) goalie to only having an unproven journeyman who has never been a starter.

Either Bob Clarke is a genius or a complete and total asshole. I'm leaning toward asshole.

PS - Good luck with the search for a new place ... that can be an utter pain in the ass/arse.
