Post-Partum Poses

Hello everyone! So, I think it's about time I start thinking about sending in another set. I just had a baby 3 months ago, and I'm not quite back to my prepreg weight (Not guaranteed that I will EVER be there) but I'd like some suggestions as to poses for …

Stretch stretch and stretch some more smile use poses that let your body flow, arch your back and create an S shape using your legs to mirror the arch of your back. try doing some poses in front of the mirror and as I say to everyone feel how you're posing that way when the mirror isn't there you can feel how your body looks....try posing with your eyes close then look at your body in the mirror
_chaos_:
Yeah I was doing the whole arch your back and kinda stick yer but out pose, and it works out great, i just can't do a whole set like that ya know? My whole body has fekking changed, I've gotta learn all over again! Geez dun even get me started on the strech marks! lol

I did a search and read all Cherry's advice on posing. Very helpful, I've never exaggerated a pose before.

There was link in that thread with a bunch of dolls posed but the link doesn't work anymore. Does anyone have any links to similar sites?

gutti:
i havent got any, but have alook at www.deviantart.comdeviantart and/ or Fotocommunity and just look at the poses ppl have there
danielk:
OMP has a book called Guide to Posing the Female Body. I've never seen it or used it so I can't endorse it and it's a bit pricey at $56.95US, *but* I think it might be useful to thumb through before shoots on days when I'm kinda out of ideas. It might be useful for a model to practice with.

On the other hand, it would probably end up like those "1,001 Sexual Positions" books. You try a couple positions out some sunday afternoon and then end up finishing with what you know and the book goes under the bed or in a drawer until you lose it or give it away.

Honestly, the best tool for learning to pose is a mirror and/or an experienced photographer.

Believe it or not, this site is my favourite source of models! Expecially because I love rawing pinup themes... and I tend to draw curvy girls with well-rounded hips... they're so delightful!

Hi all fellow photographers!
I'm looking to really boost my portfolio and skillset around some boudoir style sets and was wondering if everyone would care to share their experiences and tips around directing the model for poses and what to look out for such as angles and curvature etc.

Really …

@radxphoto - that's an awesome bunch of pointers!! Thanks so much guys, and I also hear what you say about 'no need to direct models' - initially this will be with inexperienced models.

This is great, cheers again - looking forward to getting some shooting done!

Want to see @fishball demonstrate posing? Go watch professional fashion photographer, Anita Sadowska’s posing tutorial. For all of us photographers, there’s some good info here too.

I am a curious about people’s opinion from this modeling community regarding the bunny pose? Yes it is symbolic of a specific brand, however, because it is a pose it cannot be trademarked or copyrighted. This is because a pose is an idea and thus cannot be copy written. It is quite clever the way her silhouette makes the iconic shape. Perhaps SG should have

I love taking pictures of myself. I know it might sound quite narcist, but hey all of us here either like to pose naked or to see naked pictures of others, no one is a puritain. I like to pose in a glamorous way and do not appreciate vulgar poses and obsecene nudity.
