I would choose a vampire.

Who is a fan of "What we do in the Shadows"? If you know Nadja- she is my alter ego, my soul sister, my twin.

I'd love to hear your recommendations!!! I've been loving spooky things lately but I want full novels that will give me the creeps I can listen to! Preferably avoid the obvious choices like The Shining, but open to whatever!!

This is probably under the obvious category but The Exorcist was pretty good. The author did an excellent narration of the one I listened to on Audible.

I read most of Stephen King's early work up to Christine and got a belly full. No disrespect intended. He's been a fine author since the start, but it is possible to have too much of a good thing. Thanks to a Playboy article, I was hugely impressed to discover he was a member of the Rock Bottom Remainders, a band of literary musical amateurs since known for their charity concerts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHZNEN05MTs). But I only returned to reading his work when a friend gave me Gerald's Game. Truly a tour de force. Good morning, buen dΓa, bonjour (bon matin if you're old-school), salutations, and grand rising, my fellow Strangers!

Don't get it twisted. We DEFINITELY aren't strangers here, are we? However, we are most likely a little strange. In that sense, you're all my Strangers. We are "webbed in weird," "united in uniqueness," "affiliated in avant-garde!" Sorry, I could go on all day. ;)

As you may...

Whether it's the awesome beer festival you're heading to, an interesting six-pack you bought, a home brew fermenting in your carboy, or just the cute boy/girl you spotted at the bar drinking the same IIPA as you - use this thread to post/brag/gush about anything beer related that's got you …

It is a very easy choice, even though I am fascinated by vampires and all the folklore that surrounds them, but without a doubt I identify much more with a witch and I prefer her.
A witch is mystical and communes through symbiosis with the elements and nature, giving it the respect it deserves and, of course, the curiosity and knowledge it acquires.
