Ooh, revised answer! The Love Bug is an all-time favorite movie. The way the practical effects were done to be so believable and the idea of a cars spirit making it more than its parts makes it classic (and I've had experiences fitting the vehicle spirit idea). The humor, while comical, also acknowledges how ridiculous everything seems. Plus THE most epic race and racing finale in history is in that movie (sorry Cars, you are only seconds best)!
