So today marks another momentous day in Scottish politics.
For the first time, the Scottish Nationalists have beaten Scottish Labour.
I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this. I don't like Labour, I've never really liked Labour but at the same time I'm not sure our country is ready to become an independent state.
I can't really complain about the situation. I gave the SNP my regional vote which I guess helped them to 4 seats in Glasgow.
Things could get quite complicated now when it comes to Holyrood's relationship with Westminster. I can't see Labour getting along with Salmond and his crew. Same goes for the Conservatives, God forbid they ever return to power in London - should this ever happen, I would want to sever all ties with the UK without a second thought.
And a final note for Tommy Sheridan. I'm a little sad that he didn't get back into government but not for his politics. I think the guy is hysterical. I always thought he brought a bit of colour to the proceedings at Holyrood. I guess he has to wait 4 years to try again.
That's enough about politics.
I've got a summer gig to look forward to. The Foo Fighters supported by NIN at Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh. Should be pretty good. I recently saw NIN at the Carling Academy and they were fucking brilliant (apart from the overuse of the smoke machine at the start which meant you could see fuck all for the first 4-5 songs).
Going to see Spiderman 3 tonight. Could only get a performance after 11. All the others were full.
Loving my Wii although I wish Nintendo would release some of the big guns soon. I'm desperate for a decent game to engross myself in. I finished Zelda ages ago.
Got very little else to say.
