A modestly eventful weekend this week.
On Saturday, me and the guys scaled the heights of Ben Ledi in the Trossachs. We had been informed that it was a fairly easy hike. I guess we're all incredibly unfit as I think most of us found it pretty tough.
I'm feeling the pain now as well - my right calf muscle is in agony and has been since Sunday morning.
In the evening, we went out and celebrated our minor achievement with some beer (no better way to celebrate). This was followed by a trip to The Cathouse for some of us. The Catty was a so-so experience. The music wasn't great but wasn't bad either. I didn't really have my eye on anyone either. The thing is with The Cathouse - if I'm not dancing, I usually don't enjoy it as much - I just need to find a decent dance partner.
Yesterday I had the delight of seeing The Eagles Of Death Metal at The Garage. They fucking rocked the house down. It didn't take long to get over the disappointment of there being no Josh Homme. Jesse was on fire - he really knows how to work the crowd. No Cathouse afterwards (despite having no work to go to today). My friend had to go to work today and my leg was still sore so it was a no-go.
I've got another week off. I just hope my leg heals up today.
I've got things I want to do this week.
- I need to go visit the newly refurbished Kelvingrove Museum and Art Galleries
- I want to go through to Edinburgh to visit the Parliament building
- I want to go through to Edinburgh to visit The National Museum
- I fancy going to Stirling to visit Stirling Castle (although I'm not as bothered about this one)
I think today, I'll just rest the leg and watch a couple of movies - I treated myself to the Three Colours Trilogy so I fancy watching a couple of those movies. I also fancy watching some Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
