A sad day. Went out to fetch some stawberries. Still a lot of them were on the field but nearly all of them were moldy. I like them very much...... so I have to wait for the next year. Today was the last day the field was open, nobody was there and the sky was so dark. Will go next week to buy some in...

Read "The Pig" by Edward Lee. Now I understand why normal bookstores don't sell that book. It is full of violence, sex, drugs and has got a strange ending. The book is something for people who want to break some rules and don't want to think about it....

dona:
thanks, now do not need to think what kind of book will be next to reading
zweitesich:
@donawhale You may also like "Off Season" by Jack Ketchum. It is also some piece of text for strong stomach and got a 18+ label here. "The Pig" and "Off Season" are rather shockers, so please don't expect too much :)

Just read "Forever Bound" by Joe Haldeman. You can find it here. It is frightening to see that some writers were so far ahead of their time. I only hope, that we will not lose our love in that vast endless virtual space.

Finished reading "A night in the lonesome October" by Roger Zelazny. It restored my faith in the author, I did not like his Amber stuff that much. But this one ist very good. First I had to find out that there is a kind of victorian all monster slam. All your favourite monsters are there and this countdown to the big event and ..... the...

Read "The hall of the Diamond Queen" by Anthony Ryan. Disturbing fantasy story. Sometimes when you look into a mirror, you may notice that there is an another world over there. Is the person who look back really you? And those details that don't fit...... maybe a part of your past?

I just finished "Immortality" written by R.Pawlak. So many thoughts on just one side of a text. At the moment computers assist us in many tasks. It is just a matter of time when they will start to do more complicated things..... but writing good stories? Is it possible? Beings who could not make the experience of being a child. We will see.

Finished the first tome of "Princes of Amber" by Roger Zelazny. Strange book with some confusing ideas. Easy and nice read but cannot find THE sensation in it. Will go for the second tome in a month or two to get some distance but..... well.... it is somehow... average.

avecalluna:
Highly recommend "A Night in the Lonesome October" his authorship)
zweitesich:
@avecalluna THX for your recommendation. I bought the new book for my Kindle and will read it. "Lord of Light" was really cool, especially the language. Maybe it is a lousy german translation of a good book. :)
