Family problems always make Christmas awkward.
There is one point to remember though:
As much as you may dislike what they do, as much as they may drive you nuts, wherever you go, whatever you do, they will always be your family.

My mother lives and dies by that and considering how many of my family I have been told some really odd and/or horrible stories about it really surpirses me how much we just took it and kept right on going.

Although my family is Veeeeery extended, especially on the Colombian side so I'm not sure if more English families work the same.
Anyways, opinion given.

If children are the future, then why are they all so very, very evil. There are children out there who make the Devil look like a walk in the park.
However, as much as we may dislike them, there will always be one you like. In my case it is my younger brother (aged 10). He rocks. I have had him listening to stuff like the Smashing Pumpkins and playing Zelda since he was quite young.
I might attempt to get him to play exalted over the holiday to make him a full geek.

Im getting my tattoo priced on wednesday and if its cheap enough bookin an appointment to get it done smile Unfortunately Im gonna have to get it shrunk because it wont fit anywhere on my body, so im gettin it 6 x 7 inches (big enough)
