Edit: Had to go get a haircut today. Usually I just shave my head and let it grow to a sort of peter jacksonish length and then shave it again. (yes I also had the beard.)
I now I'm clean shaven and have my hair cut really short. The reason for this you ask ??? Practical exams with patients. Aparently I need to look "more acceptable" is the way the guy giving the exam brief put it (YES HE POINTED AT ME !)
How many people here would give a shit what their doctor looked like so long as he/she was realtivley clean and knew their shit .....

personally i dont judge the doctor on how they look...i judge them based on whether they try and bullshit me or if they know what they're talking about
