Well, after talking to Alyssa, and explaining how I felt about her, and everything between us, it doesn't look like things are gonna happen in my favor.
She understands everything, but because of the distance between us et al, nothing is going to happen.
I'm hoping that it's not going to change things between us, and that we can still hang out and be together when possible. Sadly, I doubt this is going to happen, as things are with my bum luck.

So for the time being, excuse me if I come across as a miserable prick as I preach my opinion that being a nice guy will only get you so far. "Nice guys finish last" is the saying, and it's true to a point, the only thing i've found wrong with it would be that the nice guys never get to the playing field, and are lucky enough to even become a benchwarmer. Indeed, one must be in the race in order to finish, but us nice guys seem to get cut from the team without being given a chance. Forgive the heavy use of similes and metaphors, I just speak from the experiences i've had and from knowing other people who are put through the same bullshit.
