For those of you who have kids or know people with kids/ babies/ etc, or if you just don't want cancer, I suggest you take a look.

So I'm off on one of my little internet conquests of baby product knowledge and came across some interesting things... Actually, I believe the phrase "fucked up" would be more accurate. Anyway, do people a favor, spread the word.

Most of the cosmetics including MANY baby care products/soaps lotions, contain ridiculous amounts of carcinogens and ingredients that totally screw with your kid's reproductive and endocrine system, as well as other organ systems. They didn't USE to put these ingredients in until the past few years, which is why we've got a batch generation of fucked up fat kids with all sorts of messed up health problems that weren't common before. Europe BANS the use of these ingredients, why don't we? Think about it, we use diaper cream, baby powder, lotion, shampoo, hell even boob cream, and every single one of those products contains the same shit. The levels are so high they're finding them in babies' piss. These same bad ingredients are also in most of our own cosmetics and fragrances. Hell, they've got lead in lipstick. Most of these products are from companies that everyone uses for their kids. I know I did til I found out. Just a couple include Huggies, Johnson and Johnson, and even Baby Magic. How fucked up is that? And it's not just infant products, it's a lot of health and beauty items. Needless to say, I won't be using any of the shit on the "bad" list. I don't want my daughter hitting puberty when she's fucking 10. It's common now a-days, and I think it's fucking ridiculous. A ten year old, hell even, a 12 year old that can physically have kids. Hell, I didn't get my first period until I was 15, it's disturbing to think a child in elemtary school can bear children. This didn't used to be common, and now it's the norm. It's fucked up. So are all of the other allergies, developmental problems, and other weird shit that seems to be afflicting kids today that didn't used to. Hell I won't even go on my little tangent about food additives. (bottom line, eat organic food, and don't feed your kids processed shit, they turn out like the rest of the fat kids of America.) At least now they're figuring out what is causing it. Only question is why we don't have a ban on these ingredients when other countries do? So anyway, do your kids and yourself a favor, start checking labels of shit you buy, especially if it's scented.

You don't use lead paint in your house, why would you put it on your face? You can check pretty much any product to see which "hazardous level" it falls into at www. cosmeticsdatabase. com. I suggest going there to see what kind of harmful subtances you're putting on your skin, from make up to mouthwash.

Here a some Ingredients to Avoid, and below is a rough list of baby lotion, just to give you an idea of how alarmingly common these substances are in our products. Again, emphasizing again, that EUROPE BANS THE SUBSTANCES USED IN THESE PRODUCTS because they are so harmful. However, there is also a small list of non harmful brands listed as well. I personally use California Baby brand and you can find it at Target. Yeah, it's more expensive, but I'd rather shell out twenty bucks for baby shampoo than purchase a three dollar bottle of cancer to dump in my kid's bath.
