I'm excited enough I could puke
I just got done talking on the phone with the producer of the film about Adobe Walls.
I'm kinda in shock. Very excited.
He saw my bows on the Internet, and he's very excited about my work....says they are the best replicas he has seen.....and he is a Comanche Indian, who has actually gotten authentic old bows for the Museum of the Southern Plains in Oklahoma.
He ordered 2 examples for right away, to give as gifts to the script writer and the main character.....and 2 more for his personal collection.
Depending on these first bows, I am first choice to be a 'weapons consultant' for the film, and create the bows and arrows to be used by about 15 of the main actors.
I'm still leery of this, as it seems almost too good to be true....but I asked for a little information on the film, and it will be a full length-feature film......with prominent Native American actors and a budget of a proposed 35 million.
I guess I should have asked for more $$$
I'm going to just treat it as if I'm only making 4 bows for any average customer.....not let myself get too excited, because it may not work out anyway........but the total for the first 4 will be about $1100, and if I get them all it will be about $5000.....
Not allot considering they'll be in a movie that will make hundreds of millions, but the advertising benefits will be priceless......name in the credits ( tiny and at the bottom, I'm sure) and to be able to say " I made those!"
Unbelievable. I had to tell you......this is so cool........
