last night, i went over to cliftons and made an enormous pot of jambalaya. poured myself a couple of knob creek and cokes. sat on the back porch with him, threw the ball to the dog, and talked and ate and laughed. talked about going to Krakow one day. listened to some jose gonzalez and had brownies for dessert. slapped at the mosquitoes and then lit some candles and then blew em out a few minutes later.

and then, after the whoopie was had, i woke up at 230 am not knowing where i was or how i'd gotten there. just for a moment of course.
so i stayed put. i shrugged and rolled over and gave him a smooch and proceeded to hog the bed. i'm suck a bitch.

was shaken awake at 630 am b/c he has to go to work
i threw on my shoes and gave him a sleepy smile
went to drove home and was in such a state of bliss that i drove right past my exit.
d'oh!

and i was too wide awake earlier to go back to sleep, but now that i'm sitting here squinting at the monitor, i think maybe i can manage.
can't wait to get up later and try to get a haircut. and maybe go to trader joes. and then DOTM. mmmmm dotm. how i love thee.
