did you know that einsturzende neubauten just released a new album? it's really fuckin good too! rumors of a u.s tour, but blixa says it may not happen. that makes me sad. they're playing in leipzig two weeks before the festival next year-which we were planning to go to. if i could afford it, i'd totally bum around germany for those two weeks in between. smile

so i finally uploaded the set that got rejected in between monkey wrench and xanadu. if yr interested, head on over to my pics folder and see what's good (or not so good, it was rejected for a reason lulz). i'm feeling too lazy to link right now. it's not in scs- didn't think there was a point, and i'm not really feeling the "OMG!!11 VOTE FER MEEEE" thing right now so i don't really care if it gets comments or not.

with that said...it is 4 days till my darling gonzo77 turns 30! in honor of that, i went into the wayback machine and found the blog i was keeping when i met him. the following entry is from the day after we met. oh, to be 22 and stupid and perky again. no wrinkles around my eyes, and my biggest priority being to move out of my parents house. it really was an amazing time of my life. i miss being up all night all the time...well actually i still stay up all night a lot, but i don't sleep till 4 pm anymore. wink because i am a RESPONSIBLE ADULT and i have a job. *snickers*

just woke up...i think it's around 230 pm. *stretches* love my overstuffed couch, really i do.
so last night i was still up at 4 in the am when one of my new friendster friends signed on to aim. we started chit-chatting, and decided that even though we hadn't really talked or met ever, we should go get coffee. right then and there. so i give him directions to my house, and 10 minutes later this guy i've never met before pulls up as the sun's rising.

i normally don't do shit like this. i at least get to know the person before i tell them where i live. tongue but no matter, i was feeling saucy, and we only had 2 degrees of seperation between us, so i figured if he killed me and threw me in the river, someone would find him eventually.

so yeah! anyway. we ended up going to the closest diner for coffee- great idea for an all nighter! caffeine! at first it was sort of awkward b/c i didn't quite know how to act/react to this guy (who's name is gonzo, so i don't keep saying "some guy"). he's got a really interesting way of talking- kind of wry, kind of silly, a little bitter, outspoken, and yet intelligent. also blunt- he told me right off the bat that he thought my hat was stupid looking. and you just have to respect that, really, cause it is a stupid looking hat! but after a few cups of coffee and a few more cigarettes than that, i think we both loosened up. and we ended up talking for three hours, much to the dismay of our waitress. gonzo's a cool guy...and definitely not a serial killer...and the fact that we had enough to talk about for three hours solid isn't too shabby. and it's always cool to find people who aren't all about "so, what do you look for in a boyfriend?"

so he dropped me off around 830, i crashed on the couch. woke up at 1130 to my mother calling looking for a phone number- me being in a dead stupor, and her being flaming mad about something, i was really freaked out. then ray called around 2, i told him i'd call him back, went back to sleep for a bit, got some coffee brewing, and now i be bloggin. which will probably be the highlight of my day.



i had a grumpy day today. rainy and grey outside, slow and quiet inside, frustrating projects at work.
yesterday me and the boy and justblaze went to the natural history museum in the city. we discovered our dopplegangers in the hall of native american stuff. somebody got a little excited by that and squirted mustard all over himself at lunchtime. the hot dog vendor was none too pleased. wink

Have you seen them live? Last time I saw them was in the UK. I was visiting one of my closest friends in Leeds when we saw a flier saying that they were going to be @ Slimelight in London & the next thing we knew we were on the National Express on our way there! That was one helluva night because 1st they performed, then we partied our asses off 'til 7:30AM!!!
