ok, so here's a big ol' self absorbed "look at me!!!" post. skip it now or forever hold yr fuckin tongue. 
my new digicam ROCKS! its a canon powershot sd100 elph. i've been having a fucking blast learning to use it. and yes, it takes videos...i should really take advantage of that sometime soon. maybe for the next girls night in, eh? combined with a freshly-upgraded compy (new cd drive, new hard drive, new ram) and some new programs (photoshop cs2! thanks infinity), and i finally feel like i've joined the 21st century.
with that in mind, i did a little fooling around in photoshop (not as easy as i remembered, the last time i used it was in h.s- back when the latest version was 3.0!) and made some new icons. any preferences?
and...AND! i was lying in bed the other night, unable to sleep, and i had an idea for a photoshoot. a real good one too- not really a theme persay, but suffice to say it involves public nudity during daylight hours. those are always my favorite kind of sets, they're so fuckin ballsy. i think my new camera can handle it. i know i'm fuckin ready for it. and i think my bestie strumpet has agreed to shoot it, as she has a talent for capturing my good side and making me smile. so i'm bouncing off the damn walls now. i'll keep you posted...
second chance sundays- i dont know what to think. i think it's a great opportunity, big fan of democracy that i am. but 1st week it happened, it was the 2 sets w the most comments. (2 very deserving sets of course!) missy or sean or somebody said that it wouldn't be the sets w the most comments every week, but it happened again this week. (again, totally worthy sets!) 'm not passing judgement unless it becomes a consistent thing, but if it does i'll be annoyed. there are so many pink-worthy hopefuls sets that don't have 200+ comments. i hope they don't get left in the dust, you know? and i'm not being oblique and talking about my own set, there's a buttload of em that i think are way better than mine.
with all the hooplah in the hopefuls group a while back about not whoring out yr set, i keep resisting posting the link to mine in every journal entry. but i guess i should...i keep running into people who say, "oh yeah, i've been meaning to comment on that at some point." well, if you haven't yet, then get on that, will ya? and if you have, thanks. you rock.
now i feel dirty. hee hee. just a little.
mmmkay, time to go take care of my sick boyfriend and figure out who the hell i'm going to ask for letters of reference from for joining that big crazy stagehands union. the one i thought i'd never be able to get into. the one that's gonna lead to the big money! because, apparently, it's time. things just keep looking up for me. it's a nice change of pace.
katerina and i had a helluva weekend by the by. a little visit from dr leary, a little visit from 2 drunken retards who were twice our age, and a little bit of debauchery. just a little. because she and i can never have a normal outing, we always attract trouble!
