today was MUCH better on the zoofront. 
i got the raise i asked for 6 weeks ago! not as much as i asked for, but more than i expected to get. sweet!
and right after that, Gonzo77 and i went and looked at an apartment nearby. just a little bit more a month for a 2 bedroom (as opposed to a large studio that one could argue is a 1 bedroom). right near the train and 1 stop closer for me to work. a FIRE ESCAPE (omg sitting on a fire escape on a hot summer night!) and a nicer neightborhood overall. and no yapping dogs, screaming brats, bodegas, evil parking nazis, scumbag neighbors, etc etc etc. two or three bars within walking distance, and since it's an apartment building we could feasibly have parties without worrying about waking up the landlord! (or listening to them snore all night...yes i can hear it through the floorboards.
AND i also got word from tmronin that he is indeed working on my set. so hopefully soon we'll hear something good. yay for team rockstar! i don't even care if it gets rejected at this point, i just want to have it seen so i can go out and work on another set. but i've still got my fingers crossed, and hopefully you do too. it's gonna be wierd when i go pink and change names.

A raise is always a good thing, regardless of the amount...it helps!
