Last night I went to my friend's place for an intense round of Time Crisis 3. I've spent a ridiculous sum of money on that game in arcades and never beat it... Since we didn't have to keep inserting coins and whatnot, I actually made it to the end. HOLY FUCK. What a fucking disappointment. You get to the end, you beat the final boss, and a tiny country still gets blown up. Essentially, you lose. I'm very distraught about this.

You're shitting me. Really? That's a bit of a bleak ending. Isn't TC supposed to be all about walking off into the sunset* thinking "well gee, even though we didn't see a body, surely Mad Dog has to be dead this time!". I agree, that kind of sucks... although even as I type this I have the urge to go and play it again. (I never got into 4, though. Seems like there's too much playing second-fiddle to that super-commando guy.)

* Apart from the one - I think it was 2? - where you fight the last boss at the bottom of that super-deep reactor shaft and then it shows your squad having to slog back up about a million stairs because the power is gone. I still chuckle at that. Poor guys.
