With a great deal of sadness, I must once again apologize to Alan Moore for American movie makers.

I'm sorry Alan. I really am.

STarted a new job today. Not bad. Basically doubled my income.

Because they tricked us into thinking we matter. Again.

I guess I've decided to go ahead and take a trip to Charlotte in June for Heroes Con. Ought to be fun for a few days.

Not exactly big news, but I figure I have to put something up here. Otherwise I'll be obviously boring.

Saw Forbidden Kingdom yesterday. Not a bad movie. A very basic and archetypal plot that runs iwth a very mainstream formula. Very pretty visually and lots of fun Hong Kong kung fu style stuff. If those sound like your speed, I'd strongly recommend it to you.

Spent this weekend visiting friends out of town. Was fortunate enough to meet George RR Martin. One of my favorite modern authors. He read a chapter from his upcoming (some day) book as well as giving a seminar on 'Abusing characters', which was really pretty much just a seminar on using characters in stories.

I saw 'There Will Be Blood' tonight. A little late, I guess, but man. I really loved this movie. It really highlights all that is good and evil in the human spectrum of identity. Grumble. Well, hurt my back mildly working out on Thursday. Its just some musle strain, I feel sure. Just annoying and holding me back from doing a few things I enjoy. Ah well, sadness.

Went to an acquaintance's art opening last night. She talked about how she works and her interest in doing stronger women characters in a fairy tale setting. A lot of her stuff is pretty good. If I can get an URL or something I might post it to get her a little more exposure.
