Just saw Cloverfield. After a great deal of anticipation, on my part, for the last year or so I got to see it. I was suprised that it was comparatively light on the hype, which is good. The movie is an engaging human drama set with the backdrop of a monster attack. Within the confines of its fiction the story is believable and touching, it is certainly worth seeing once.
One warning, if you have trouble with motion sickness this movie will fuck your guts up. I know people who have that problem, they couldn't watch it.

ive definately been surprised by a few movies before- but they are mostly old school... like 50s 60s
